Alex Berenson @AlexBerenson · 1/ Okay, 11 am. Breaking news: it is almost certain more people over 100 have died of #COVID worldwide than under 30 - and more over 90 than under 50. Try to wrap your head around that. We have shut the world for a virus that has killed more CENTENARIANS than people under 30...
2/ How do I know? Well, in general, countries dont track much data by age on the deaths of people over 85. But some states have reported actual ages; in Florida, 2 of 419 COVID deaths are in people over 100. Heres Dutch data, which does include a 95+ category...
3/ And Italian and UK and US (the UK and US are a bit older, but you get the idea). The greatest risk BY FAR of dying from #SARS_COV_2 is advanced age - this is why developing countries seem to have avoided any crisis. Remind me again why weve blown up the world?

Whoa, we can’t take that much common sense.
Well since states are already cancelling school for the year (we can scream dems but many RINO governors just seem to be a few weeks behind the curve in crazy decisions) I am not quite sure we’ll be rocking in a few weeks.
And for states that are going back to living, I will get myself tested and once found negative will head to one of them for a several week (month?) vacation.
FYI
This should be a strong argument for reopening quicker.
OK,then open the country up and don’t let those over 100 go back to work.
How are you going to do that? I am one of The Essentials and I can't even get tested.
The life insurance and social security actuaries will be happy
Correction: The life insurance actuaries will be sad, but the pension and social security actuaries can be happy.
Because the left hates Trump and his anti-One World stance. JMHO
God you people bitch so much!
You don’t even pretend to have hope or even try
pathetic.
Dogs will be sad. Cats will be ecstatic.
Tested for the virus or antibodies? A test is just a snapshot in time. You could get tested negative and the next day contract the virus. It might prove useful if you are asymptomatic and can then take precautions not to infect your colleagues and family.
Which tells me you have no answer and are talking out of your backside.
FYI. More ammo for Trump to get us back to work.
This was a global solution that was embraced by most of the developed world.
He sure seems like a dope, because comparing the US with Italy and the U.K. and the Netherlands is patently absurd. Each nation has its own demography, culture, and approach to dealing with this crisis. Further, on an adjusted basis, none of those countries are doing all that great. Besides, the last time we looked to Europe for greatness was for the arts - music and that was 50 years ago. Let their socialized medicine approach run its course.
Just because Kim Strassel retweets the rantings of a spy novelist doesn't make it worthwhile....being led by Authority Bias is such a poor way to go through life.
Yes.
Thanks for posting.
The scientific method suggests skepticism when interpreting conclusions, and a responsibility to communicate scientific findings transparently, so others may evaluate and understand the result. We need to bring these notions into our everyday expectations when presented with new computational results. We should be able to dig in and find out where the statistics came from, how they were computed, and why we should believe them. Those concepts receive almost no consideration when findings are publicly communicated.
