When The Passion of the Christ opened in theaters on February 25th, 2004, it not only gave us the rawest, grittiest glimpse into the last 12 hours of Jesus Christ, but it would leave a lasting impression that would forever change the way we look at the events that transpired in human history, and get a stronger glimpse of the price that was paid for us so that we would not stay forever stuck in the habits, mindsets, condition of heart, and the consequences that all of them inevitably leads to.

Isaiah 53:5--700 B.C. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Hello, friend.

This is called “clickbait.” (Excerpt) Read more at makingsense.proboards.com ...

Since it’s your site, you can simply paste the entire few paragraphs and not make it clickbait. If folks want to see the video trailer, they can then go to your site or to Youtube as appropriate. And from there, they can see the rest of your writings.

Also, FR is holding a FReepathon right now and I’m sure its donors would greatly appreciate your kind assistance in return for hosting your occasional threads. Thank you.

It’s streaming on FOX Nation now. I can’t watch it. I saw it when it first came out and it was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. Just seeing the trailer brings it all back and my eyes fill with tears.

It is a spectacular movie in many ways.
I saw it about 15 years ago.
I do not wish to ever see it again, because it was so effective and so gut wrenching in various parts. No thank you.

Let it be clearly said: Mel Gibson is a fine storyteller and director!

I am very much looking forward to the Resurrection movie as well. It’s another reason why I wanted to post about it now, to get ready for the release of the sequel.

I remember the total silence at the end of the film, and absolutely no one leaving their seats until the lights came back on. I’ve never experienced such deep soberness envelope an entire audience.

Then everyone silently leaving the theater, walking out with not a word spoken, walking out to find long lines of people waiting for the next showing, long lines of people talking, laughing, being silly, unaware.

“Passion of the Christ” is the greatest movie ever made. It is the actual Word of God put to film in the most artistic and compelling way. Every audience member is confronted with the eternal truth of Jesus Christ.

The Passion of the Christ

I saw it four times in 2004 in Los Angeles and the theaters were packed all four times. The Academy Awards ignored it.

UP TV showed it today all day. I just watched half of it again.

Shocking. Heart rending. Astounding. It’s all true and Mel Gibson held back. The Lord suffered 100x more than what is shown in the movie. Monica Belluci stole the show. Maia Morgenstern plays Mary and hit a nerve in every mother. Mattia Sbragia plays an obstinate person who is shown regretting his obstinacy.

The movie can be seen 24/7/365 and free on many sites. However, I can only watch part of it once a year, since the movie is too intense.

Prayers for President Trump and Mr. Pence.

Very well stated. The Word of God, being portrayed on film, is the substantial “anchor” that makes this film so powerful in a multitude of ways. I had that too. There was a somberness and silence that was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before as well. The only other film that was somewhat similar(though not to the exact same degree) was at the end of “American Sniper”.

But it makes you think and think deep. Even the spiritual warfare elements (incorporating the satanic/demonic elements) and the flashbacks of Christ showing unbridled grace and compassion, convey in a bold way, the force of evil at work in that Satan always targets and goes after people who are not driven by an insidious agenda, who are loving, compassionate, peaceful, and are armed with the Truth, and stirs people’s emotions (especially through crowds) to act on what his influence. Yet despite these things, Satan does not have the final say. God does.

I agree, you have to see it at least once but, I cannot get myself to watch it again.

It is gut wrenching.

The one sacrifice, sufficient forever, love beyond measure, passion...Tetelestai!

Psalm 22:1-31 ESV
[1] My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? [2] O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest. [3] Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. [4] In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them. [5] To you they cried and were rescued; in you they trusted and were not put to shame. [6] But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by mankind and despised by the people. [7] All who see me mock me; they make mouths at me; they wag their heads; [8] “He trusts in the LORD; let him deliver him; let him rescue him, for he delights in him!” [9] Yet you are he who took me from the womb; you made me trust you at my mother’s breasts. [10] On you was I cast from my birth, and from my mother’s womb you have been my God. [11] Be not far from me, for trouble is near, and there is none to help. [12] Many bulls encompass me; strong bulls of Bashan surround me; [13] they open wide their mouths at me, like a ravening and roaring lion. [14] I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted within my breast; [15] my strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to my jaws; you lay me in the dust of death. [16] For dogs encompass me; a company of evildoers encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet- [17] I can count all my bones- they stare and gloat over me; [18] they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots. [19] But you, O LORD, do not be far off! O you my help, come quickly to my aid! [20] Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog! [21] Save me from the mouth of the lion! You have rescued me from the horns of the wild oxen! [22] I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise you: [23] You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him, and stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel! [24] For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, and he has not hidden his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him. [25] From you comes my praise in the great congregation; my vows I will perform before those who fear him. [26] The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek him shall praise the LORD! May your hearts live forever! [27] All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you. [28] For kingship belongs to the LORD, and he rules over the nations. [29] All the prosperous of the earth eat and worship; before him shall bow all who go down to the dust, even the one who could not keep himself alive. [30] Posterity shall serve him; it shall be told of the Lord to the coming generation; [31] they shall come and proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn, that he has done it.

More band width is taken by you and the other anti blog morons like you( humbblecomplainer) than is used by people posting interesting and important text and links. Do you have anything of value to add? Not that I have seen.
