A phlebotomist working at a Chicago hospital said Thursday that 30 to 50 percent of those tested for coronavirus have antibodies, and 10 to 20 percent of those tested are actual carriers of the virus.
Sumaya Owaynat, a phlebotomy technician for Rosewood Community Hospital, has had extensive experience with coronavirus testing over the last few weeks, as she has been testing around 400 to 600 people per day in the hospitals parking lot. Owaynat also stated that there is a far greater number of those that have come through her line and have already recovered from the virus compared to those who currently have the disease...

As I have said on FR before, I believe covid ran through northern CA late last year/early this year. Long before anyone even knew of covid and we were just fine. Now let us hope we hit herd immunity before the dipsticks closed everything down. (Ca numbers seem to indicate we may have)
Let’s start with this:
There is NO SUCH PLACE as Rosewood Community Hospital in Chicago.
Google is your friend folks.
There is a Roseland Community Hospital that I know of and frankly none of you all would get caught dead in there. There’s NO WAY that hospital is doing antibody testing.
You’ve all been trolled and so was Rush.
You mean this one? As the one you would want to get caught dead in?

The name of the hospital at the beginning and through the body of the article appears to be a typo.
This is the end paragraph:
Roseland Community Hospital, which is located on the south side of Chicago, has 138 beds and serves a population with more than 96 percent of the residents in the community identifying as African-American, a community that has been hit hard by the coronavirus.

There is a Roseland Community Hospital. But no Rosewood Community Hospital.
They arent testing for serological titers. Whered she come up with that info?
The small 32 test I was speaking of was in Roseville CA.
The small one in Roseville used the same test kits the standford study is using. The stanford one will be much bigger and I believe results are expected late next week.
Rush covered this extensively today.
Maybe you should re-read the articles first paragraph???

A phlebotomist is someone who draws blood. Many of them are very nice but they’re not epidemiologists. They don’t do anything more than get blood into a tube and then they pass it to a med tech and it goes into a machine. Why are they quoting this person?
Honestly, I cant help but feel embarrassed for the full-on Darth Vader-clothed shoppers at Walmart...
I meant that comment to go to the OP.
Sorry about that.
My point exactly. She said. She didn't say how she knows or if the people in the drive through get tested for antibodies. That, to my knowledge, requires a blood draw.
Do they have antibodies to A coronavirus but not THE coronavirus of concern? Can she be confusing the two?
I have no idea? Do you?
As opposed to you said. Decisions, decisions. Doe oh doe what do we do now?
LOL! Not that one either.
