A phlebotomist working at a Chicago hospital said Thursday that 30 to 50 percent of those tested for coronavirus have antibodies, and 10 to 20 percent of those tested are actual carriers of the virus.
Sumaya Owaynat, a phlebotomy technician for Rosewood Community Hospital, has had extensive experience with coronavirus testing over the last few weeks, as she has been testing around 400 to 600 people per day in the hospital’s parking lot. This ALL means the death rate is way way way way way way lower than we think.
400-600 per day? That would be 40-60 per hour in a 10 hour shift. No way that is possible while maintaining proper hygiene.

also, this appears to be a self-selected group, i.e., ones who lined up at a self-test tent, and presumably they lined up because they had symptoms and were concerned they had the disease ... interesting information, but i doubt if it applies to the general population, and certainly would not apply to the country or even the state as a whole ... all it tells you is that a lot of people who thought they had C-19 did in fact have it ...
Speaking of anecdotal and small study evidence, which is of course all the evidence we could possibly have at this point, friend of friend in CT was intubated and on ventilator but made it through. I asked 'what drugs did they give her?' Friend said 'something that starts with a P'. That would be Planequil (later confirmed,) which would be Sanofi's brand of HQL. (No Zpak - don't think zpak is standard at this point, but good to know for sure that however much the media is hiding it, at least in NY region, HQL is go-to.)
There was an article in an Italian newspaper today or yesterday that said the number in Italy is 70%. Many of those never showed symptoms.
The pros say 60% to 70% is the magical “herd immunity” number at which the virus cannot spread any further.

Careful folks. While this is good news we have to assume that those people being tested and showing antibodies were not randomly selected from the population. At least I don’t think so.
As I understand it they now believe you are only contagious for maybe 10 days. But the symptoms last longer. The people being tested were almost certainly people worried that they were infected. And half of them were right.
I can see them pulling this crap in the future.

I went to the original article in the Chicago City Wire and it's worse. They are running two 3 hour shifts. It's certainly the entire test site doing 400 to 600 per day, and not just one technician.
Also, she doesn't say how she knows “A lot of people have high antibodies." The article doesn't mention if they tested for antibodies. As a phlebotomist, she draws blood. It does not say that the drive through is drawing blood. I doubt they are. She is likely referring to blood she draws during normal duty. How she knows the results is also unknown.

The newer self swab test pretty much just means handing out the kits and collecting them again and then running the assays.
Why not if you have 10 people doing the tests? That would be 4-6/person/hr.
Still the fact remains it’s killing a LOT of us old people.
Here in Roseville CA a little place tested 32 people and 3 had antibodies. Kicker is all three reported being sick in 2019 not 2020.
I’m in the Chicago area, am looking for any confirmation of this and finding none. The only source is a questionable online only rag.
