Far-left commentator Sally Kohn somehow thinks state governments ordering nonessential businesses to close means they arent forcing businesses to lay off their workforces. Really. Sinclairs Eric Bolling wrecked her on Twitter for it. Kohn bleated on Twitter that I'm really tired of reading how business owners are forced to layoff [sic] workers. No one made them do that. They *chose* to do that. [Emphasis added.] She continued down that ridiculous line of illogic: Not saying it isn't a hard choice, during a hard time, but to say they were *forced* obscures their agency AND casts owners/CEOs as the victims.
Enter Eric Bolling: Sally: What do you call it when Mom & Pop [sic] want to keep the doors open and keep workers working... but the Govt. [i]s forcing it to close due to the virus, and bank accounts have run dry? Whats that called in SocialismWorld again? Is it called getting Sandersed[?]

A$$holes on the left think businesses should continue to pay employees even if they are not bringing any revenue.
Remain open and lose your business license. Some choice.
A paycheck written on an empty bank account bounces and is a crime.
Of course they do. They think taxpayers should pay deadbeats smoke weed and breed too. Money just appears like magic, doesn't it? You selfish capitalist swine!
Someone pays all these people to be proudly ignorant or to purposely misinform as many people as possible?
The 90% biased media are the ones who regurgitate the WHO and the CDC stats that the good doctors base their recommendations on at the briefings.
Even Trump. who knows the media is fake, and mostly out to get him, went along? I guess the optics were just to overwhelming even for Trump?
“Money just appears like magic, doesn’t it? “
In a sort of perverted way ..itP kind of actually does appear almost as if magic.
The Unions are getting a four months paid vacation. Compliments of the tax paying citizens.
PBS and the Kennedy Center for Performing arts got some of that “magic money”
Our humble politicians who niether produce anything or add much to our quality of life end up multi millionaires. How?
Magic!
Well, no offense, but if that is a woman it does look like she was beaten with an ugly stick! AP
Simple: no sales, no services rendered, no cash.
No cash, cannot pay bills or people.
Fold!
I dunno... I tend not to listen to what men with vaginas say. They have enough problems.
Kohn knows zero, zip, zilch, nada about business. Not about economy, nor just about anything.
But. She has her own FEELINGS, and in Leftist sphere, that opinion counts for something.
“A$$holes on the left think businesses should continue to pay employees even if they are not bringing any revenue.”
And give them a raise up to and including $15 an hour for a person to sweep the floor.

I’m surprised some State Gruppenführer hasn’t mandated all private business remain closed *and* continue to pay their employees.
We have a number of posters on FR who sound very much like Sally Kohn.
I miss seeing Eric Bolling on TV.
Pity he couldn’t responsibly use his phone.
Then no bailouts for media open sores, I mean outlets
“...continue to pay their employees.”
Many states are. An example of Washington state, where I live, they are paying the teachers till the end of their contract setup, as it is contractual, and if hey aren’t contracted for next year. They sit at home and do what they want. Those contracted for the next year, along with the B agreement, are being paid just like normal.

So yes, the government hasn't forced them to lay people off. It just made it impossible for them to keep them employed.
This shutdown needs to end fast while some of these people still have jobs to possibly go back to.
I once heard of this magical land where people could sit at machines and pray to them, and they would whir and spin and if you were holy enough, they would dispense cascades of coins into a plastic cup for you. That money appeared by magic too. In a place called "Lasvegas".
The left refuses to believe there is no cash. Leftists all believe that every business has piles of cash secretly tucked away where only the owners can find it, and they are refusing to “share”.
That’s how she can claim it’s a “choice”. Notice she also believes every business could pay a “living wage” if they wanted to, but simply will not.
Once upon a time we would have labeled her “brainwashed”.
