Can any government statistics on COVID-19 deaths be trusted?
It is an open question now that we are learning that the highly respected, world-class Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been lying to us.
This revelation comes a few days after I wrote here at American Thinker that New York City was lying about COVID-19 deaths. The normal rules about reporting deaths have been violated by that city in the rush to inflate the body count, presumably to steer more taxpayer money to the Big Apple.
That the CDC isnt telling the truth to Americans is no conspiracy theory: its right out there in the open for everyone to see. The CDC openly admits that it is fudging the COVID-19 death figures.

Bump for later
Wow. This is everything. Great news about CV, bad news about the Swamp.
Back to work NOW.
As the fog is lifting we are seeing what is and what was really going on
The question now is whether these lies by the DeepStaters in the CDC and in Demonicrat-controlled states were done for the purpose of weakening the Bill of Rights and for wrecking the economy that President Trump had built up for the last 3 and a half years.
“The CDC Confesses to Lying”
I have no doubt they are liars...but did they actually confess to it?
What? You think that arrogant punk Peter Strozk is the only one dealing Trump insurance policy plans?
got a good laugh out of that one right there
Do not trust governments.

Do not trust Democrats.
Lets take this example:
First, experts told us 2.2 million Americans would die. Then the number fell off a cliff, plunging down to around 200,000.
As of April 8, the number of those expected to die from the disease by August 4 was down to 60,000, or roughly a very nasty flu season. The new figure comes from the influential model produced by the University of Washington that the White House regularly cites.
Has social-distancing, wearing face masks, hosing down packages with bleach, using hand sanitizer that is at least 60 percent alcohol, and washing hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds helped bring the grim worst-case-scenario body count down?
Probably, Im guessing, but its hard to know for sure.
This ranks right up there with liberals bemoaning the fact that the number of criminals locked up in prison is at an all time high, even though crime rates are down. Huh?
Of course taking measures to kill the virus results in lower numbers of infections. That is basic microbiology 101. Of course the CDC revises numbers downward to reflect the effectiveness of social distance policies. Do you really expect the numbers projected on the assumption that nothing will be done to stop the spread to be the same as the projections based on the assumption of high compliance with social distancing recommendations/orders?
And another thing: this artificial concept of "dying with Covid-19" needs to be ditched. Someone who has been managing diabetes for years and suddenly dies after contracting Covid-19 is dying because of Covid-19. Same for other chronic conditions: obesity, heart disease, asthma, immune problems, etc. The real take-home message is that if you suffer from a chronic condition, you need to be extra careful not to contract Covid-19.
Don't fall for propaganda designed to make you think that Covid-19 is not serious. I suspect that propaganda originates with the extinct humanity movement. Much like those behind the anti-vaxxer movement want more kids to get deadly childhood illnesses, they embrace anything that might increase the number of deaths. They are motivated by their belief that there are too many people.
As of April 8, the number of those expected to die from the disease by August 4 was down to 60,000, or roughly a very nasty flu season. The new figure comes from the influential model produced by the University of Washington that the White House regularly cites.
I get the premise, but the same question can be asked about the 60,000 people who die from ordinary influenza in very nasty flu season: How many of those people died "with" influenza, as to influenza being the "cause" of death.
In my opinion, the critical inquiry should be whether the person would have died at that time, but not for contracting the Chinese Wuhan Flu (CWF). For example, I have two known risk conditions for CWF (hypertension and diabetes), which I control with meds, exercise, diet, and a healthy lifestyle. Indeed, I haven't missed a day from work because of sickness since I contracted the H1N1 influenza in 2009. If I contact CWF and die, did I die with the CWF or from the CWF? Clearly, I would have died from the CWF because, but not for the flu, I would, with near certainty, still be alive despite the underlying health conditions.
The point of the article, IMHO, is that calling the death of someone with cover "because of covid" is just easy. Why do the work of saying, if this guy hadnt had hypertension, diabetes, and COPD he woulda survived the covid infection? There is, effectively, a simple box you can check - covid instead of futzing around in gray areas. Why would you do the latter?
Course it is also true that there are political implications.
A few years ago my brother died of a lung infection. It was interesting - and very arguable - that the doc listed the cause of death as an accident which occurred many decades ago! Why? Because absent that accident, my brother would have been very unlikely to have even gotten that lung infection. You could of course argue that that was political - his death showing up as caused by a football injury - but it was also in a very real sense true.
Of course its also possible that, absent that long-ago injury, he could have been in Vietnam - and died there much earlier . . .
But we all know that ultimately the real cause of death is being born in the first place.
Looks like my list; although mine includes doctors and teachers.
Even with the lies the death toll is actually rather insignificant. If we reach the US projection of 61000k by Aug 4 that means .019% of the population will have died from the virus. It will suck to be one of those .019% or a member of their family, but do we really need to shut down the whole country to save .019% of the population? We do not live in a zero risk world.
CDC is propaganda.

Concur, but this is what most countries are doing now.
The exception is Germany -- and this is why their numbers are so low.
If the US followed German way of figuring out the Covid deaths, the count would be 1/4-1/3 of the current.
ROTFLMAO...still cleaning my monitor after that one...CDC employees (current and former) should pay particular attention to Revelation 21:8...
CDC heads must roll.
There are plenty of people out here who could use a job..
