My first vanity is quite awhile. Let’s assume that in the coming 2-3 weeks, Trump gives the all clear that its time to get back to work. We already have several governors just looking for any reason to keep things closed. Inslee in WA just shut the schools down for the rest of year. Murphy in NJ is talking well into May before he opens things up. Cuomo will probably be a bit more flexible in NY but not much. Northam has VA closed until June. Wolf has PA closed indefinitely. DeWine has Ohio until May.
Point is, Trump can give the all clear but the governors can choose to keep their lockdowns continuing to hurt the economy. In an ironic way, it’s the states rights argument that conservatives have always championed. Of course, Democrats corrupt it for their own purposes. So, thoughts on how this opens back up uniformly and quickly to get the economy rolling again.
The economic struggles will explode in those states and, the governors will take the heat.
I live in Washington and Trump should be pushing Boeing to open up again before the end of the month, and encourage the employees and shareholders to demand new leadership.

Already, here in Washington, Inslee has had to veto by line some of his Democrat legislators spending wants. So, that might be a portent of things to come that will make a socialist Governor like Inslee from keeping Washington State in lock-down.
The problem is they are treating his guidelines as law. I think that was a mistake on his part. Especially when they extended it 30 days past the 15.

Not sure he can or will. The feds will issue overall guidance. The governors and their health officials in each state will decide when and where to open back up. There won’t be a one size fits all magic open date across 50 states just like Trump didn’t proclaim a national shut-down. NY isn’t N. Dakota. Each state has decided on the level and timing of restrictions.
Trump addressed this in one of his press conferences and said his preference was for the governors to make these calls.
If the lefties want to destroy their states, then who can stop them? The voters will remember.
If they do that and the residents don’t think it is necessary, they risk their jobs.

Our governor is the worst. No common sense at all. Randomly picking and choosing what gets shut down. But I know his huge HVAC company (Lee services) is open.
Ohio gov DeWine is a tyrant.
People need to go back to work. There will be tremendous pressure on governors to get out of the way.

And mine us foregoing revenue by extending drivers licences and car tag 6 months from expiring. My wife was supposed to be renewed this month.

Their greed will open them up. The pent up demand to get out of the house, go anywhere but home, will cause a tourist boom. Will they keep their state closed and miss out? I doubt it. That plus the pressure of their constituents to break free and do the same. I hope to vaycay in August myself.

There is no all clear. All the ‘flatten the curves’ are flawed. When you flatten the curve, the curve is extended. By flattening the curve, we have extended the amount of time the virus will be infecting people.

If we can't elect American governors or keep the ones we have in line, we deserve to lose our nation.
