Historically a hospital is one of the likeliest places there is to catch a communicable disease.

I would expect everyone who goes near a hospital OR Dr.’s office would catch this virus WHY would anyone think otherwise!! Hospitals are the absolute worst place in the world for anyone to get well of anything!!

They caught the bug while in the hospital!

So? That is actually pretty common. Thousands of people die every year from infections they didn't have before they went into the hospital but caught while they were there, even before the Wuhan Flu existed.

Yep. And being in the hospital already with what is likely a comorbidity does not help.

and that is why you don’t want people crowding into hospital labs clamoring for covid tests.

The hospital is like the mall if you’re shopping for a virus.

It is so common that it even has a medical name: a nosocomial infection.

nobody gets admitted to the hospital, positive or not, if they can be treated at home.....they can send oxygen home...they can wear a monitor and get calls twice daily with updates...

the hospitals DO NOT WANT covid patients in the hospital anymore than the public wants to be there ( although there are people that WANT to be in the hospital, for some perverse reason, and you can't discharge them easily)

Always said; hospitals are where sick people go to congregate and die.

This can also be interpreted as the patient caught CV while living in Shreveport and was seen at the hospital there. it would be nearly impossible to know with certainty that it was the hospital, although that is a possibility.

No to most of us it’s expected.

And “scary” is a word being used way too much in America today.

It’s a good word for children watching horror movies.

Adults, not so much
