SA tried before via Princely Alaweedy to bankrupt US shale oil producers. He managed to bankrupt a few but what he didn’t realize is that most US shale oil producers are also farmers and ranchers. So they just shut off the oil pumps and go back to their mainstay businesses. Turn the pumps back on when the prices come back up.

Make it so that no US refinery can process any oil other than from the US.

The Saudi’s are attempting to break US oil by dumping oil at less than cost of production.

Treat them like any other cheater — out a tariff on imported oil.

Crush them both. Fill the Strategic Reserve to the top. Order a temporary reduction of the Federal gas tax of 50%.

Strongly recommend that the States and localities do the same.

Middle East upheaval tends to follow low oil prices. Get ready for fireworks.

At some point an American president should have the balls to remind them that their military couldn’t fight it’s way out of a piss soaked paper bag, and they are making their only protector angry.

Tell them our protection is gone unless they knock off their bullshit.

In a perfect world, seize their oilfields and Mecca. And administer Arabia with a MacArthur style absolute governor and the outlawing of islam. Its long overdue

I don’t even need gas at this point.

Even if it was free.

Tell the Saudis we will withdraw our protection if they keep it up. They are helpless without us. An we cannot possibly get a worse government, or one more committed to hating America than the one there now.

How long will America be kicked around by a pipsqueak?

Trump needs to encourage US refiners to use as much domestic oil as possible. I thought the money for filling the strategic oil reserve got stripped out of Porklus 2.

Sorry Saudies, shale oil will still be there. There will be different players drilling, granted that. Question is, will you still be there after the dust settles and we decide you are as much an enemy as Iran?

I look at it differently. I can’t think of a better time for the US military to respond to an attack from Iran (just wait, one will happen) by completely destroying their oil industry. I do mean completely.

Yeah, they’ll close the Strait of Hormuz for a short time...until we blow their little boats out of the water. Oil will skyrocket to what...$40 a barrel???

The U.S. should at this point ban Middle East oil imports. We don’t need to participate in the Saudi-Russia oil supply war. Let them hurt each other while protecting our growing domestic supply.

Saudi isn't the only bad actor in this. I was watching CNBC this afternoon and they showed satellite imagery of multiple oil tankers sitting off the coast of Syria. The tankers had turned off their transponders until they arrived at the Suez Canal, where they need to be turned on. Then they turned the transponders off after exiting the canal. I guess the Egyptians don't really care about the actual origin and destinations of ships traveling through the canal. Oh, need I forget the punch line, the origin of the tankers was Iran.

Today's quiz is: What do the majority of people in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt and Syria have in common?
