In an interview Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the White House's delayed response to the coronavirus pandemic cost American lives.
"The president, his denial at the beginning was deadly," she told CNN's Jake Tapper. "His delaying of getting equipment to where it continued -- his continued delay in getting equipment to where it’s needed is deadly. ...

Tapper asked: "Are you saying his downplaying ultimately cost American lives?"
"Yes, I am," Pelosi replied.
Pelosi also hinted there would be an investigation into the administration's handling of the pandemic once things go back to normal.
"I don't know what the scientists said to him," Pelosi stated. "When did this president know about this, and what did he know? What did he know and when did he know it? That's for an after-action review."
"But as the president fiddles, people are dying. We just have to take every precaution."

Is she saying the Democraps would have reacted sooner? Horse manure! I didn’t see them clamoring for closing our borders or banning flights from China and Europe. In fact that was “racist”, to do that using their words. I didn’t see democrap mayors and governors shutting down large gatherings in their cities like Chinese New Year in New York and Mardi Gras in New Orleans. And while we’re on the subject, how many hospitals were closed in New York alone under Obama-Biden/Cuomo/Deblasio, and why were national stockpiles of masks, gowns, and ventilators allowed to decrease under Obama-Biden during their health scares. Maybe she should investigate the timing of remarks made by her, Cuomo, Newsome, MSM scares, Biden, and Deblasio that were geared to drive the markets down? I hope that dumb broad does have another investigation. The progressives and the communists will be thrown on the ash heap of political parties. F that B.

Even forgetting about impeachment, which nobody will, tanks is really the ultimate in arrogance. As recently as last week she was busy delaying a vote to try and use this crisis to get her agenda passed.
This woman is beyond arrogant. If the sickness she has ever becomes highly contagious, it will make Coronavirus seem like the stomach flu.

Off course, that’s difficult as this is normally carried too high up for it to be reached. (lack of oxygen is responsible for such ludicrous statements.)
Assigning blame for something like this is always subjective. However, the most beneficial long-term reactions to this would be to force China to ban wet markets - something they have known the risks of for two decades and bring home critical manufacturing such as pharmaceuticals and other essential items such as electrical grid equipment, defense items, and personal protective equipment and other key medical supplies.
Congress should start with a hearing on wet markets. Trump should be talking about this every day. If a nation will not practice rudimentary food safety we should ban all travel to and from that nation. Remove the wet market and we are likely not having this conversation.
The next hearing should be on how/why China suppressed news of the outbreak and refused access by other health officials around the world that might have given us a headstart on this thing of a few months. This is undeniable.
Instead, as long as Pelosi is the speaker we are going to get lots of “orange man bad.”

I agree. This will backfire big time. This is exactly what America needs right now, huh Nan?? Another politically motivated investigation to last 2 to 3 years and spending millions of taxpayers money to prove absolutely nothing. If the dems go for this then I hope it seals their party’s fate.
