In an interview Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the White House's delayed response to the coronavirus pandemic cost American lives.
"The president, his denial at the beginning was deadly," she told CNN's Jake Tapper. "His delaying of getting equipment to where it continued -- his continued delay in getting equipment to where it’s needed is deadly. ...

Tapper asked: "Are you saying his downplaying ultimately cost American lives?"
"Yes, I am," Pelosi replied.
Pelosi also hinted there would be an investigation into the administration's handling of the pandemic once things go back to normal.
"I don't know what the scientists said to him," Pelosi stated. "When did this president know about this, and what did he know? What did he know and when did he know it? That's for an after-action review."
"But as the president fiddles, people are dying. We just have to take every precaution."

Trump was dealing with this when you were getting the media to cover your March to the Senate to deliver impeachment papers.
The country is well aware of what the Dems were doing in late January and early February. It’s very telling that not a single media outlet is spending any time pointing this out.

The one that delayed was Pelosi Galore. She fiddled all last week on the 2+ Trillion bill just passed.
She supervised a sham impeachment.
She has been treasonous. Time for her to spend some time in the Graybar Motel.
Trump has a two hour daily infomercial that has 10s of millions of viewers. That’s also effective.
Wow, she is both nervy and shameless.
While the Democrats were busy playing the impeachment scam, this thing was developing. They completely ignored it, instead choosing to grandstand and pontificate about orange man bad.
And now Pelosi is claiming the President did not do enough? What was he supposed to do, put the country on lockdown when this was still a local outbreak in China? Had he done so, I’m sure they would have made the shampeachment all about how he is a dictator—and most people would have considered such a response way over the top.
As it is, there are very specific protocols for dealing with a pandemic. They are developed by people whose profession is to understand infectious disease and how pandemics develop. President Trump is acting according to the recommendations of those protocols and advice/input from the best experts in infectious disease in the world.
We do, however, need some accountability from the Democrats. Apparently, they see this as a prime opportunity to impose their socialist dictates on all of us, and still could care less about the pandemic. It’s just an opportunity to them.

The obvious fact is that all the western governments got caught flat-footed with this virus. Which western country has done a better job than the US? I mean, it’s not like the US is an outlier in terms of respnse.
When the virus got started in China, had they followed standard protocol, yet it still got out of hand on them, I would even give them a pass.
But, since China sat on data, there is no doubt they are the true villain in this outbreak....regardless of how most other countries were slow to respond.
So sure, in retrospect, it’s easy to see where things could have and should have been handled differently in the US and elsewhere. There will definitely be a long ‘lessons-learned’ list for many countries (including the US), but this one is on China!! Instead of imprisoning doctors and healthcare workers, perhaps they should have let them publish their results....just saying.
I would be saying that no matter who was President.
And, Nancy Pelosi really should stop being partisan. It makes her look like an ass.

I remembering news reports where I live telling people to go to Chinatown for the parade. They were expecting a low turnout because of the virus.
This isn’t New York.
Do you stick up for all federal bureaucracies this way, saying they can’t screw up or do wrong and shouldn’t be held accountable for actions or failures? CIA too? FBI?
Or is it just CDC and FDA and Dr Fauci’s agency that’s do no wrong and don’t screw up?
I think it is doubtful that Trump ignored intelligence data on the virus. I think it is more likely western intel and health agencies failed to see the virus fast track into Europe. TSHF around March 11 and 12. That is when everything started to shutdown.
