RIP!
RIP
He was about 25 years ahead of his time.
Thanks DIRTYSECRET.

Tom Coburns reputation preceded him throughout the Capitol a cantankerous trouble-maker who was tough to work with, and more interested in blowing things up than getting things done. And that reputation was completely wrong, just about everyone who ended up working with him came to quickly realize.
Mr. Coburn, a medical doctor turned politician died overnight at age 72 after a long fight with cancer, according to former staff and colleagues, leaving one of the most substantial legacies in recent congressional history.
Coburn was a good guy... a budget hawk and a great pro-lifer. R.I.P.
I can’t believe he has been out of office since 2015! Where, oh, where do the years go?

A life very well lived. Too bad we don’t have 100 more like him in the Senate and hundreds more like him in the House.
He had a lot of heath issues.
Dates are confusing, but according to Wiki: In November 2013, Coburn made public that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. In 2011, he had prostate cancer surgery while also surviving colon cancer and melanoma. He died from prostate cancer on March 27, 2020, at age 72.
They get torn off the calendar page by page.
72? That’s 11 years away for me....
Prostate Cancer.
I’m proud to say I voted for him every time I had the chance. I can’t think of a single time he voted differently on Bills than I would have voted.
RIP
Anyone flying into Tulsa on a Friday night has met him. He regularly held councils in the Airport waiting area.
I didn’t agree with a lot of his positions. Senators have a whole different way of looking at things.
He never ever forgot that he was a representative of his state, not there to bang his own drum..
I remember one of his quotes. “One half of diabetes is preventable.” Made me think.
