Back in January the English-language version of the Global Times — a publication controlled by China’s ruling Communist Party — passed along some footage of the drone warnings after they were shared on China’s popular Weibo social network. In the viral video, residents of a village in Inner Mongolia are startled when they hear a disembodied voice from a hovering drone admonishing them for not wearing face masks outside.
“Yes, Auntie, this is the drone speaking to you — you shouldn’t walk about without wearing a mask,” the voice announces to an elderly woman.
In another segment, the drone warns a small boy, “The coronavirus is very serious — Run!” (He then does — away from the drone.)

It seems that the Dems are trying to use the example of Communist China.
From Washington Examiner: A California police department is planning on using drones equipped with cameras and loudspeakers to monitor a coronavirus shutdown.
The Chula Vista Police Department recently doubled its fleet of drones, purchasing two of the machines from Chinese company DJI. The police department told the Financial Times that they would be outfitted with night-vision cameras.
“We have not traditionally mounted speakers to our drones, but … if we need to cover a large area to get an announcement out, or if there were a crowd somewhere that we needed to disperse, we could do it without getting police officers involved,” said Capt. Vern Sallee.
“The outbreak has changed my view of expanding the program as rapidly as I can,” Sallee added.
“What we saw in China, and what we’re probably going to see around the world, is using drones with cameras and loudspeakers to fly around to see if people are gathering where they shouldn’t be, and telling them to go home,” Spencer Gore chief executive of U.S.-based drone company Impossible Aerospace, said. “It seems a little Orwellian, but this could save lives.”
The drones are ordered from DJI, a company that comes from a communist China.

Don’t buy from or invest in Communist countries should be the rule.
Even with those that have swerved into market economies as a survival tactic to make it till they can once again make a go at communism.
When the China Virus fades away, there will be a whole lot of reversal needed in public policy.
If not, then the statists will have successfully used the China virus as a bludgeon with which to conquer America.
Also, in Nazi Germany you had doctors making selections about who would go to the gas chamber, and who looked like they had utility left in them. Now you have doctors in America wanting to come up with blanket DNR orders, And blanket orders that nobody over a certain age gets ventilator treatment.

How quickly the elected officials turn into what they really are: repressive fascists. The excuse is always some kind of crisis. They will “protect” us.
Interesting that they didn’t think surveillance drones were a good idea to catch criminals, but they do think it’s a good idea to monitor and eventually arrest people who are closer than 72 inches.
After the crisis, what usage do you suppose the drones will be converted to? Catching youffs who are “playing” the knockout “game?” Middle easterners beating up Jews? Come, now. Surely you jest.
People should watch Blue Thunder ... drones in the hands of civil government is not a good thing.
Any official who approves the use of Chinese surveillance technology in our country is an idiot...

More individual liberty / Contitutional government less tyranny is never more than 2 election cycles away. The rest we can examine and remove in subsequent elections. No blood. Easy. Not many in history have had this opportunity. Thanks FF. Radically cool.

With so many folks being forced to stay inside these days they now have plenty of time to think of coming up with new ways to take down or at least to thwart the over invasive intruding government use of spying technology on the peasants.
