Okay, I clicked on the link (which I try to never do). Apparently a “filter” is whatever superimposes the insanely stupid stuff like cat and dog ears that people think makes them look cool but actually makes them look lamer than they usually look.
I will say, though, I liked the hats. It didn’t convey the solemnness of the Latvian Orthodox hats, but I almost smiled. No kavorka, though. Not going that far.

So this is a "Snapchat filter." Not sure why they call it a filter, because nothing is getting filtered out, but crap is getting added that doesn't belong. I would have called it "Snapchat Added Crap" or "Snapchat adulteration," but that's just me.
