This tweet is from Grzeorz Cessak, President of the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products in Poland.

If they have been administering Chloroquine to COVID-19 patients in Poland since March 13, it might be interesting to keep an eye on the course of the disease there:

if the FDA has its way, we’ll be studying this drug for years before it is approved for COVID-19. Thankfully, Trump won’t allow them to do that.

This evidence is annecdotal - my H loving bureaucrats were not in control. The study wasn’t authorized. It wasn’t conducted under our strict protocols. It’s all, as I said, annecdotal.

I wonder if Fauci will be on stage with POTUS going forward. My guess is we’ve seen the last of him in the presents of POTUS.

German Bayer has a sordid history of “helping”.
Heroin in medicine.
Nazi collaborator.

Swiss Pharma made Thalidomide.

Careful what you wish for.

How about American Manufacturing?

Roll, MAGA, roll!

Fauci wouldn’t know “anecdotal” if it bit him on the ass.

In only a couple of sentences, Dr. Fauci encapsulated everything that is wrong with the healthcare industry these days..

OK, here comes the backlash.

The FDA is responsible for determining the safety and effectiveness of a drug against a disease. Plaquenil can be fatal if you overdose, and no one has determined the proper dose for Covid-19 treatment.

It takes time and accurate records to make this determination.

That said, a doctor can prescribe the medicine if he needs to, at his discretion.

So concerned with Type 1 errors he forgets both about Type 2, and the possibility that the result of the error is nothing more than egg on one’s face.
There are things which outweigh intellectual pride.

I'd say it shows what is wrong with the federal bureaucracy these days.

Here is a good video with the “skinny” on Chloroquine .... testing (some back in 2005 on SARS CoV1) has been done on it with interesting. promising results. Hydrochoriquine is not as toxic & the test results are also similar.

What is NOT being talked about are the side effects & they are serious. If your choice is death by the virus or perhaps some serious, permanent side effects, than taking the drug would likely be worth it. As a preventative, not so much.

CHLOROQUINE for SARS CoV2?

Ok, Where's the data?
What are the mitigating circumstances?
Age groups?
Physical condition previous to infection?

There are a number of variables that ANY scientist will ask before committing to a blanket use on people. While you might shoot from the lip and say 'go for it', are you willing to accept the consequences if half or more are killed by it's use because specific physical issues prevented the drug from acting accordingly?

There is ZERO statistical data to support a blanket endorsement.

The University of Michigan had a PDF file that I found yesterday. It called for 600mg Twice on first day for loading dose , followed by five days of 200 mg TID (three times a day.
