Dr. Mihael Polymeropoulos, the co-founder and former CEO of Vanda Pharmaceuticals, joined Tucker Carlson on Thursday night to discuss the use of chloroquine in the treatment of coronavirus. On Monday Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, reported that the anti-viral medication chloroquine is showing success in fighting the coronavirus. ** An Effective Treatment for Coronavirus (COVID-19) Dr. Gregory Rigano, the co-author of the study, later went on with Laura Ingraham and then Tucker Carlson to discuss the results from the chloroquine study. Dr. Rigano announced that their study found that COVID-19 patients who took hydroxy-chloroquine were found free of the disease in 6 days. The patients were testing negative for the coronavirus in six days! Dr. Rigano also said taking choroquine could act as a preventative. On Wednesday night Dr. Rigano told Tucker Carlson that a new peer-reviewed study out of France found that chloroquine had a 100% success rate in treating patients with coronavirus.

Blessings!
Are we cycling around to same, single reference point with these articles?
Only a Greek could become a biochemist with “polymer” in his name.
LOL

FDA and CDC don’t like it at all.
Dr. Anthony I-want-to-wreck-the-economy Fauci threw cold water on this. He basically called it anecdotal at best.
how come they cant give it to anyone who is already critical, do they not have enough?
Seems that re-tweet by Musk is cycling and recycling a lot. I posted on another thread that I had sent this to my doctor who told me they are treating a patient with it at his hospital and the initial results appeared good. He told me he would let me know how it went.
A bit too much hype in this incarnation of the study news. But it is at least some positive news is always welcome
No. Although not referenced, there are multiple studies out there testing chloroquine. Another separate study links it with azithromycin for better effectiveness. I believe both medications are being approved for compassionate use.

All you Vietnam vets out there. Isn’t this Chloroquine the same small white pill for malaria we all took every day while in country? If yes, why would they say they are not sure if it is safe to take. Help me on this one Brothers.
I disagree.
Fauci must be sterilized!
He was being a good scientist. He basically said it is anecdotal until good controlled clinical studies were done. Which is absolutely true. Which does not mean that it doesn't work, and he wasn't saying it didn't. Just that we can't know for sure yet.
And you base that disagreement on...?
Treat those infected. Treat those exposed.
And then lets lift the lockdown in 2 weeks.
Small study in France (not in the US), less than 50 people. In addition, they “lost” six participants, mostly excluded from statistics. Encouraging results, but saying that it is 100% effective is ridiculous, not enough statistical data.
He was already using it in France. It worked!
The rest can study away!
Yes, chloroquine was the 200 mg pill back then. The newer version, hydroxychloroquine, is what is showing excellent results with low to no side effects ... except killing virons is a side effect and it is doing that.
