Dr. Mihael Polymeropoulos, the co-founder and former CEO of Vanda Pharmaceuticals, joined Tucker Carlson on Thursday night to discuss the use of chloroquine in the treatment of coronavirus. On Monday Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, reported that the anti-viral medication chloroquine is showing success in fighting the coronavirus. ** An Effective Treatment for Coronavirus (COVID-19) Dr. Gregory Rigano, the co-author of the study, later went on with Laura Ingraham and then Tucker Carlson to discuss the results from the chloroquine study. Dr. Rigano announced that their study found that COVID-19 patients who took hydroxy-chloroquine were found free of the disease in 6 days. The patients were testing negative for the coronavirus in six days! Dr. Rigano also said taking choroquine could act as a preventative. On Wednesday night Dr. Rigano told Tucker Carlson that a new peer-reviewed study out of France found that chloroquine had a 100% success rate in treating patients with coronavirus.

> He was being a good scientist
A really good scientist can see the forest and the trees both.
He disparaged very specific claims made by other doctors without giving any evidence at all that their claims were false.
Let people try it.
Made by generic companies. The stock may have value if enough people find out.
Malaria =>
What caught my attention was India and Europe.
Fauci appears to have a second agenda. If he is replaced... There will be no tears from me.
Of course it might not work out as we are hearing, but Faucci has no real alternatives at the moment.
It doesn’t have to be 100% successful. All it has to do is make enough drop in mortality rate that people can go back to work.
NOTHING else matters. People are going to die, just not as many.
We all need to get over ourselves, accept the fact that there is yet another (unlikely) way to die floating around there, and suck it up.
You want to see mass fatalities, just wait until the economy passes crush depth.
That’s a start. There is much more.
I sure remember the white pill...and hated the medics making us take it.
Thank you. First I have seen this level of data. This look great and very promising.

Missed Vietnam but when I was in Korea in the early seventies, there was a bottle of those Chloroquine pills on the mess hall table right next to the salt shakers.
I heard the part of the press conference where the doc responded to whether it was safe to take. Essentially he said it’s not been tested with all the other parts of the ‘drug cocktail’. That isn’t the same thing as saying it’s unsafe.
That's my read too.
As I remember, the anti-malaria pill that we took each month was called chloroquine-primiquine. Don't know what the "primiquine" was. ( My spelling may be incorrect ) Aside from loose stools, I don't recall any side effects.
Chloroquine has been manufactured around the world for ages. I started taking it for malaria well over 50 years ago.
Years ago I would have guess that there were billions and billions of tablets on pharmacy shelves and in bathroom medicine cabinets around the world.
Eventually, chlorine-resistant malaria developed, so other medicines came to be used for both prophylaxis and treatment.
Also, you need to come off of chloroquine every 10 years or so, otherwise blindness may develop.
One 500mg per week for prophylaxis. If you contracted malaria, 6 for treatment the first day, followed by 2 per day for three more days. Take them with food and do not lie down for a while after taking.
Welcome. The internet has really helped us all communicate our thoughts and different strategies.
Yes it is better to be dead than risk taking a medication that is not officially approved by bureaucrats.
Hydroxycholorquine costs about $20 for one month's supply. It is a generic drug manufactured by several companies. It has been approved and in use since 1955 for malaria and other diseases.
Remdesivir is a proprietary experimental drug developed by one medical company. It has not been approved for use at all, but is being tested. Estimated cost for one month's supply is $1,000.
Is it any wonder that the drug industry is trying to slow the use of Hydroxycholoroquine to maintain a market for
remdesivir after it finishes clinical trials?
No. Zinc seems to be the common culprit that a coronavirus cannot break through. The how and why... I am working on.
“He was speaking as a good scientist.”
My husband’s a scientist (Physicist), and he and I picked up on it the same way.
That’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it. Professionals and colleagues have our views based on experience, knowledge and facts.
Expected. Lets help inform the public! Zinc seems to be the big deal in the original drug. I’ll get back to you in a day or two.
