The decisions are ALL being made because it is an election year. The entire thing is a farce.

Could have written this about Lincoln when the Civil War broke out
Could have written this about FDR when Pearl Harbor was attacked
Could have written this about Bush 43 when the US suffered an economic attack on Sep 16, 2008
Could have written this when obama was inaugurated with no certified proof of birth or personal background transparency
And again when obama bragged that he had a phone and a pen.

"Are We Retreating from the U.S. Constitution at Breakneck Speed?"

No. Educate yourself in civics and the founding of this nation. We can temporarily resort to extraordinary measures in an emergency. And to the next moronic argument that usually follows from the peanut gallery, we've done it temporarily before.

I’m glad it’s Trump running the plays from Rham Emanuel’s playbook and not Caliph Baraq.

Yes! The communist Democrats, the MSM, and Hollywood have been picking away at the Constitution for 35 years or more. Now we are at a crossroads and only good intelligent Americans can save it. Currently we will get little help from the DOJ, FBI, and many other government agencies.

I disagree that the President’s first job is to protect Americans.
His first job is specified in our most honorable document, perhaps the greatest document ever written in all time.
It is to ‘SECURE THE BLESSINGS OF LIBERTY’.
That’s it.

We left the Constitution behind on Usurpation Day, January 20, 2009.

Obama is not a natural born citizen.

Lincoln set the precedent during the Civil War.

Then there was Wilson during WWI, FDR during WWII, W after 911, and now Trump.

The Constitution can always be ignored if the politicians can declare an emergency... and most Americans won't know or don't care.

Here’s a fact: the number of dead each day is doubling every two days.

The number of dead each day is doubling every two days. How many seriously ill can your local hospital handle each hour before it ceases to function as a hospital?

Here’s a fact - you run this shutdown for longer than two weeks and you will destroy the country.

You’re partially right. The preamble specifies 4 purposes for our government, not just for the president: (1) insure domestic Tranquility, (2) provide for the common defense, (3) promote the general Welfare, and (4) secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”

And i’m afraid when the current crisis is over the power grab will still be there. We have relinquished our liberty without a fight

And we will go back to where we were before this monster invaded our country.
And we better get to the bottom of this

HERE IS HOW SINGAPORE IS HANDLING THIS
Tracking the Coronavirus: How Crowded Asian Cities Tackled an Epidemic (Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan)
New York Times ^ | March 17 2020 | Hanna Beech Posted on 3/17/2020, 10:16:30 PM by rintintin
Two hours. That’s all the time medical teams in Singapore are given to uncover the first details of how patients contracted the coronavirus and which people they might infect.

The NYS (slimes) did not go into what Singapore was doing but these postings did explain what and how Singapore was doing which is well worth a look.

I don’t know if there is a “Trump sucks” angle, but my sister in law lives in Singapore. This is for real. They have people assigned at entrances with hand held infra-red heat guns. She said she was scanned 5 times just today. Anyo e who get hot they are inquisition to find out who they have been with? How long they felt like this? If they ever coughed in public do. Wwho? Their shelves in stores are full and there is no pani, from what she says. This is a very effective and organized way to handle the crisis. This is Priminister Lee speech to Singapore population on what they learned from the Sars outbreak to deal with this. Trump (and I love him) could learn a lot from Singapore.

My brother is living and working in Singapore. Has to get scanned several times a day.I was telling people that they could scan a crowd and see who is hot and cull that person. I’m not sure why NYC etc is not using this technology

These types of actions were taken during the Spanish Flu.

This isn't the Spanish Flu, not even close.

We have American family in Shanghai who just returned. It is similar there also and no one is allowed in public without a mask. It we had stricter standards, tested people and then followed up on the infected person’s contacts, maybe we wouldn’t have needed to shut down everything. We wouldn’t be able to even do the temperature testing in the U.S. because people would be screaming about constitutionality.
