Most likely to spread within the first 3 days of symptoms, less infectious after 7 days.
Containment and eradication are expensive
Doubles about every 5 days

Countries must take a comprehensive approach
Testing
Contact tracing
Quarantine
Social distancing
Do it all
Any country, that wont happen to us is making a deadly mistake.
China, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, aggressive testing, contact tracing, social distancing, community mobilization
Investigation of clusters is a critical step in reducing transmission.
First, prepare and be ready.
Know the signs and symptoms and how to protect themselves and others.
Every health worker should be able to recognize this disease, provide care and know what to do with their patients.
Every health facility should be ready to cope with large numbers of patients, and ensure the safety of staff and patients.
Second, detect, protect and treat.
You cant fight a virus if you dont know where it is. Find, isolate, test and treat every case, to break the chains of transmission.
Every case we find and treat limits the expansion of the disease.
Third, reduce transmission.
Do not just let this fire burn.
Isolate the sick and quarantine their contacts.
In addition, measures that increase social distancing such as cancelling sporting events may help to reduce transmission.
These measures, of course, should be based on local context and risk assessment, and should be time-limited.
Even if you cannot stop transmission, you can slow it down and save lives.
And fourth, innovate and learn.
This is a new virus and a new situation.
Were all learning, and we must all find new ways to prevent infections, save lives, and minimize impact.
Clean your hands regularly with an alcohol-based rub or soap and water
Cover your mouth and nose with your elbow if you cough or sneeze.
Stay home if youre sick.
Avoid unnecessary travel and large social gatherings.
Comply with the advice of your local or national health authority.
Find and share reliable information.
What countries are NOT affected, I’ve been wondering...
Thank you.
North Korea says they don’t have any cases. Other than that I have no info
I think in North Korea, they’ll just shoot anyone who coughs.
No problem. 8>)
“Dr. Gregory Poland, a Mayo Clinic infectious diseases and vaccine specialist, says that the threat of the coronavirus is real, but the seasonal flu still remains a bigger issue for most people.
“Right now, seasonal flu is causing many more deaths than COVID-19, and the tragedy is that many people die because they consider it ‘just the flu,’” says Dr. Poland.”
I’ve read where some deaths attributed to the flu may actually have been caused by the Corona virus - no tests available at the time.
They're running low on ammo, though.
"Right now, the number of COVID-19 cases pales in comparison to the number of flu cases," says Dr. Poland. "Unlike COVID-19, seasonal flu is in every state and every community in the U.S.
Even though the symptoms are similar, reliable clinics like the Mayo Clinic understand the difference. People need to relax and read non-hyped facts from dependable sources like the May Clinic.
The Delusional Lying Left is at it again. They really WANT America to fail and here's another chance. But the LEFT are LIARS.
People need to relax...
I'm very relaxed, as I research what I need to do to get myself and my love ones through this from whatever sources I deem beneficial. Not directed at you, but it's the unprepared, and those caught with their pants down, who seem to be in a panic.
Faith in a God who says, “By His (Jesus’) stripes you are healed” is my answer. Faith in God’s word defeats fear. It also helps to throw in some common sense.
