This kind of episode reveals the twisted logic of left-wing virtue signaling. Most of the time their "virtue" is based on lies, so the logic path takes them off a cliff.

In Berin Szóka's mind, President Trump is too selfish, evil or stupid (pick one or all three) to help the US deal with coronavirus. But Democrats are selfless, good and smart (pick one or all three.) Since he is on their side Berin Szóka feels he is also firmly on the side of virtue; albeit smug virtue.

As a paragon of virtue Berin Szóka is also interested in "justice" - social justice, poetic justice, karma justice - anything but actual justice. As such Szóka may from his height of virtue proclaim "justice" on others of lesser "virtue" than his wonderful self.

Here comes the problem: Szóka started and finished on lies. President Trump is not selfish, evil or stupid but Szóka's proclamation is (pick one or all three.) Berin Szóka probably doesn't believe this and is only disappearing on orders.
