Despite having had more time to prepare, most authorities in the US and EU are responding to the coronavirus spread with such ineffectual and wrong-minded measures that they're just making a terrible situation worse.
In today's video, Chris walks through the 'gold standard' process for how a country should act to contain a pandemic like this.
How many countries come anywhere close to this standard? Depressingly few. And he shows case after case after case of authorities -- at both the national and local levels -- pushing policies that endanger the public.
Why is the official response to such a serious threat so poor?
Human nature, fear, and self-delusion all seem to be playing an important role. Too many of our leaders refused to acknowledge the magnitude of the potential risk when this was "China's problem". And now that covid-19 is endemic in their own countries (99% of new infections now occur outside of China), it far too late for the preventative measures that would have made a difference if deployed earlier.
So everyone is scrambling. And few authorities seem to have a grasp on the situation, resulting a confused angry public who is increasingly realizing that It Didn't Have To Be This Way.
As we've been saying since our first reports on this virus, don't depend on the government to ride to your rescue here. Take your destiny into your own hands and prepare as best you can with the scant time likely left should the coronavirus appear in your community.
These “everyone’s an authority” videos are all over You-Tube selling their opinions. It’s like all the kids thinking they can sing (who can’t) posting their videos hoping for notority.

North & South Korea are between China & Japan, and Taiwan is an island between China and the Philippines. Much easier to contain something like this in these small countries than a large one like the U.S.

I think we are doing fine. The media is hyping everything out of proportion. People are being more cautious and it will help.

My opinion hasn’t changed much.
Most of what this guy says is either common sense or what the real experts are trying to do.
His doomsday approach is the last thing we need. This is the type of idiocy that leads people to buy up bottled water, as if the taps are going to run dry and water will be scarce.

The more and more I see of how the RATs are reacting/responding, along with the media, the more and more I’m convinced this thing was planned and released by DS thru Chinese connections.
There are many positive things for the globalists & communist RATs in this. It kills off the elderly boosting SS funds. It kills off world populations that they’ve been wanting to do for years. It kills the world economies, especially the USA, it provides tax-payer funding to states that otherwise would no longer get federal funds (sanctuary states, etc.), it generates chaotic panic and attempts to foil Trump’s re-election efforts, etc. I’m sure there are more. There are just too many positives for DS & RATs with this to just be a “naturally occurring” virus.
With that said, and IF true, whoever is behind this, needs to be hunted down like vile animals they are, injected with this crap and then locked in an isolated cage to rot away because hanging it just too damn good for em.

Yes but in Italy and the US it is increasing by a factor of 10 every week [exponential growth]. China and S. Korea successfully curtailed this growth. Singapore and Taiwan nipped it in the bud. Action works. But action is necessary.
Good video. Western nations are pulling out all stops to f-up the response to the coronavirus.
My thought in posting it was to emphasis the need to rely on ourselves, not so much our bureaucratic government agencies. As for the virus, how many will die from it is still an unknown - some say maybe half-a-million in the US alone. Some act like we've already seen the worst of it. I try to err on the side of caution when lives are at stake, and lives are at stake.
On being prepared, I haven't found having extra food, water, and other necessities for life to be much of a burden. In fact, having personally lived through numerous ice storms, hurricanes, dozens of bad storms, general water and power outages, and most recently dodging a F3 tornado by a less than 300 yards with subsequent power outage lasting 5 days, having some extras on hand really came in handy.
After topping off our supplies in preparation for a possible quarantine, if we dodge the bullet and shops stay open, we at least won't have to worry about shopping much for a while.
