This morning, Alisyn Camerota portentously proclaimed that CNN has declared coronavirus a "global pandemic." But CNN's guests weren't highly emotional wrecks worried about what's next.
First, a passenger onboard the Grand Princess cruise ship off California told a CNN reporter via an online conversation that he was not worried "at all" about contracting coronavirus, given that he's been quarantined and protected in his room. The passenger also said that he "absolutely" viewed the situation as "overkill."

If it’s panic they’re after, CNN should invite some panicky FReepers on the show.
I don’t think that’s entirely fair. A lot of the people here are elderly, have underlying conditions, or have parents who are/do. It’s normal for a lot of us to be concerned, especially given the world-wide response to this. I suspect that there are people who know at least a little more than most of us do about this.
If it’s panic they’re after, CNN should invite some panicky FReepers on the show.
Maybe we could get some finder’s fees for recommendations?
It’s not just the Americans. The Israelis aren’t allowing anyone into the country without a 14-day quarantine. I don’t think that they are in the habit of panicking over ‘the flu’.

As soon as the cruise prices come down another 50% I’ll book something for the Bahamas for next year.
I think it is perfectly fair.
They have been over the top.
I’ve seen a lot of threads; but I haven’t seen a lot of ‘over the top’. I’ve largely seen sensible discussion from people just trying to get and share information.
