This is getting kicked around by those who want to blame Trump for everything.
Since when has the federal government been the buyer and provider for facemasks for all us hospitals?
When?
Never, that's when.
Can you imagine their response if Trump micromanaged their workings, the demtards would go crazy at his interference and demands on private and public hospitals. The money it would cost, the storage area for all this material, the logistics to order this even when there are no shortages.
Dems won't even let him do his job securing and fortifying the border. Do you really think they'd have viewed it in any positive light?
And sonce they are all line item on him for spending, where exactly is all the money for this unplanned expense?

The 10th Amendment of course says that the powers not delegated to the feds nor prohibited it by the States are reserved to the States or the People.

With no expiration date, or other information, it is not known just how old these masks are. Look for these to end up on the faces of those that really need adequate protection. Jeez.
Actually, the reason we don’t have enough face masks is due to government trade policies of the past.
Our government sets trade policies and when they lowered the import tariffs in the 60’s, it had the effect of offshoring many industries including face masks and pharmaceuticals.
Trump has been trying to reverse those policies, but neither democrats nor republicans have supported him. He’s had to do this on his own.
It turns out that the Federal Government actually has a national strategic stockpile of medical supplies like face masks for just this type of scenario.
It’s not enough. But it’s something. And Trump is acting to get production fired back up here in the US.
So yes, Fedgov is indirectly responsible for the national production of face masks through trade policy. And while they are not responsible, nor do they regulate to my knowledge, the supply practices of hospitals with regard to face masks, they should be planning for emergencies and looking out for our general welfare.
Since when are the Feds responsible for governing all tests?

And when have the people complaining ever took a moment and made sure they had a lost of their emergency items written out, and then gone put and purchased them, for them and their families?
These knobs are the very people that RIDICULE and RIP ON people who do this for themselves and their families.
I work in a hospital. I had to clean two rooms that had been occupied by patients with ‘’possible corona virus’’. Had to put on a hazmat suit, just like you see on tv and use a cheap paper mask because N 95 face masks have been sent to China. This is what our supervisors have told us.
Reminds me of “The Shelter” episode of The Twilight Zone.
"To provide face Masks to all Hospitals."
But it's Congress's responsibility.

Everything. My co-worker and I looked like NASA astronauts. Just pisses me off that we’re sending N 95 masks to the Chinese.
