I would like to tip the scales on some primary races by donating a little to a number of Trump supporting conservative candidates who, with a little more money, might be able to pull out a win. We did this with Trumps election, as well, supporting 11 primary candidates from outside our district.
Could my fellow FReepers please provide suggestions so that my wife and I can do this again?
Note: We already support Free Republic. (Thanks Jim!)
Your help is requested...
Jim Jordan, of Ohio, John Fleming of Louisiana, Matt Salmon of Arizona, Raúl Labrador of Idaho, Ron DeSantis of Florida and Mark Meadows of North Carolina. Rand Paul, sometimes. 8>)
Primary candidates only...?
You personally believe each of those people cant win their current primary races against other Republicans without extra money?
My goal is to NOT help any incumbent who is already likely to win their Republican primary.
Only primary candidates. I dont care about the general election in November, at this time.
We cannot even be complacent and think that President Trump himself is a shoo-in.
Never take any race for granted without spending money. Always keep in mind most voters are not political junkies, and cash is necessary to explain all the pertinent issues on TV Ads.
Nobody named Bush.
Meadows is retiring and DeSantis is now Gov. of Florida.
That’s true. I meant Rick Scott.
For all her weaknesses, McSally actually can raise money.
*Corey Gardner
*Whoever runs against Martha Robey in AL
*Whoever is running against Elissa Slotkin in MI
*Any of the southern/central CA candidates
*Any of the TX candidates in seats that were flipped.
Most of these primary races haven’t shaken out yet, so I can’t give you names.
“Never take any race for granted without spending money. Always keep in mind most voters are not political junkies, and cash is necessary to explain all the pertinent issues on TV Ads.”
Absolutely correct. The Dems have a PAC called EMILY’s List. EMILY stands for Early Money Is Like Yeast. Being able to raise a lot of money for a campaign (whether we like it or not) is a sign that you’re viable - and that thus leads to more money.
It’s high time that the GOP understood that too.
Thank you, LS.
I will help Corey and look into flipped Texas and California races.
I will wait out the others until someone is known.
