[Vanity] Thinking of voting in Mar 17 Rat primary ... Komrad Sanders? Mini-Mike? Someone else?

There's nothing going on in the GOP primary in my Rat state (Illinois) ... a bunch of political unknowns vying to be the token 'opposition' to entrenched Rat incumbents.
I'm thinking I should vote in the Rat primary. I've seen FReepers muse that voting for Komrad Sanders is the best way to ensure a second Trump term - but with all the low-information voters and gimmedats out there, the prospect makes me nervous. I know any Rat will be terrible for America, but I think perhaps I need to vote for the least terrible in the primary.
I welcome FR's thoughts and comments.

Vote Bernie for the primary. If there’s no clear winner, they could still bring in Michelle at the convention, and she’d put them within the margin of fraud.

March 17???
Moot point. By then there will be a definite unconditional candidate for the Rat Party.
California has joined the Super Tuesday Party. And by March 3rd; we will know who will be the one.

If not Bernie, then I think it needs to be the strongest ABB candidate - and IMO neither Creepy Joe nor Fauxcahontas are it. (I wouldn't bet the farm on either of them still being cadidates by Mar 17.)

Keep your Republican ticket and vote for Trump. The bigger the primary turn out, the better, especially for those down ballot.

Could be - but I want to be ready just in case.

If not allowed - wear a red cap anyway.

The ideal situation in November is for Bernie Sanders to be in the lead by ten percent above every other candidate but not an actual fifty-one percent majority and for the Democrats to award the candidacy to someone like Michelle Obama or Michael Bloomberg who didn't even compete in the early primaries.
That way Bernie's angry Yellowjackets will be stinging mad and run their own ticket. Many of the Democrats will be embarrassed and the socialists might beat the Democrat nominee.
That would create a more or less permanent rift between factions on the left.
So keep track of the primaries, try to keep candidates flagging monetarily in the race and prop up Bernie enough so he is ahead in a plurality sense but not with a commanding majority going into the Democrat Convention.

Seems to me if I was to switch my party for the primary, the media would spin it as X many Republicans are tired of Trump and during Democrat.
Frankly, I could never ever vote for a D no matter the reason. Trump gets my primary vote here in Washington state.
To: aynrandfreak
Yep, brokered convention.
Result Mini-Mike and Big Mike to the rescue.
The ultimate Mike Drop!

In Florida, I just switched to Dem so I could vote in the primary on March 17th.
Any suggestions on how to cast my vote to make a dent towards a specific candidate. Who should I vote for?

That's my question too. Read the posts - FReepers are brimming with good points to ponder.
