We have seen lots of strange things happen during President Trumps time in the White House, and Mitt Romney added to that list on Wednesday when he voted to remove Trump from office. It was the first time in American history that a U.S. Senator has voted to convict a president that belongs to the same political party, and this probably marks the beginning of the end of Romneys political career. Amazingly, Romney voted against Trump even though he knew that it would not affect the outcome of the vote. In fact, Romney knew that he was going to be the only Republican to vote against Trump and he still did it anyway.
There have been two other instances in which the U.S. Senate has voted to either convict or acquit a sitting president. In 1868, President Andrew Johnson would have been convicted if even a single member of his own party had voted against him. The following comes from the Washington Post

The arrogant deconstructors of this great republic roam free. Our payment for our life insurance policy to these CRIMINAL STATE PLAYERS is overdue.
READY - AIM - VOTE
Delicious Peter is a POS.
As someone who worked super hard for Mitt’s election in 2012, all I can say is how disappointing it is to see his Jealousy Jealousy now. He’s a horrible embarrassment to Utah!
ps:
And, he HAD that election in the bag in 2012. He THREW it away after taking the lead in the first debate. By muffing the rest of the campaign. And, by never even raising the Winning Issues. (Obama later said he and Michelle were already packing up their stuff to move out of the WhiteHouse, and then Mitt folded like a deck chair on the Titanic. He acted like he’d been bought off...either way, he has nothing to complain about against PDJT)
You really want a judge Romney would vote for at this point? I don’t. Romney support is a huge red flag right there. He just voted to REMOVE President Trump. After blocking his Fed picks, too.
wow..love that..and so true
Romney is a coward, not representing his Utah and makes Mormons look like scheisters.
Let’s hope he is one of the few Senators to serve only one term.
The impeachment fiasco just demonstrates that Congress is largely composed of hypocrites, liars and thieves. I know that’s not breaking news but it’s worth repeating.
He is a bitter little man trying to fill the shoes of another bitter little man.
i remember the dems hated Mittens when he ran for President, now the Repubs hate him for his vote against the President, it takes a lot of work but no brains to get everyone to hate you
CUT HIM OFF AT THE KNEES.

I just heard Michelle Malkin mention the many politicians that Utah had sent to Washington, D.C.
She added, “With a history like that, we can toss out Utah!
Backstabbing ingrate. I am embarrassed and ashamed I voted for this small man.
Mannequin Mitt wants center stage.
If the judge is put forward by Trump and McConnell?
YES.
Are you saying if Romney votes for one of these judges you don’t want that judge?
That is a LOSING strategy.
“Why is evil so unified?” POWER & CONTROL. America is the crown jewel for freedom/speech suppressors. Who can stop them?

Obviously, a losing strategy is relying on support from Romney. He’ll do everything he can to obstruct POTUS and the MAGA agenda. A Quisling Republican does far more damage in the long run than a Democrat. This is far from just about impeachment. Romney has already done real harm to the Trump admin and US economy blocking Trump’s Fed picks.
