One Way Trump is Lifting Americans Out of Poverty
Vanity | 2/6/2020 | jazminerose

If you have called a help center recently and got an English speaker, welcome to a glorious new segment of the Trump Economy.

Talking to a few recruiters and my own research revealed this interesting phenomenon.

Companies are still outsourcing their call centers, but, they’re now using US outsourcing companies.

This, in itself, is cause for celebration. But, it’s much more than that.

Many of the agents to whom you are speaking are working from their own homes.

It makes superb business sense. Brick and mortar is expensive. The cost of insurance alone is astronomical these days.

But, it’s not a play day for the workers. The better outsourcing companies can closely monitor their at home people.

For a first job, a young person can pick up skills and learn discipline.

The real beauty of this is the way it’s lifting people out of poverty who were previously doomed for life. This is a gift for single moms and people with disabilities.

Welfare moms who actually want to get off of assistance always cite the insane cost of childcare. Problem solved. They may still need someone to pitch in, but, they won’t need $2K extra a month.

Having a crappy, unreliable car is no barrier to at home employment.

No commuting costs. Workers can eat at home.

These jobs pay more than minimum wage. Some even offer benefits.

IMO, this is a true gift from the President. These companies are now using *American* workers, creating opportunities that never existed before for people who had given up.

Healthcare has gone for this in a big way, eg Blue Cross/ Blue Shield, Anthem, etc. Add Comcast, Progressive, CVS, just to name a few.

If you know someone who could use a boost, Indeed and Glassdoor have a lot of these jobs.

I looked at some of the employee reviews and decided not to take them totally seriously. Some of them clearly went to Warren, rather than Wharton. A big complaint is that these shady companies get paid more money per hour for the employee than they pay the employee.

Imagine.

That is a fabulous story. The first one I’ve read today.

THank you for starting my day on the right foot!

As someone who did some subcontracting work a few years ago this makes good sense. I hope those that want to can find an opportunity. Sounds perfect for a supplemental job for retirees, young people and in between. I wish them well.

The Rats hate it when people become self sufficient. They are the ultimate slave masters.

Trump’s strategy is to create jobs in America. That’s the prime mover for the good things that are happening.

So, outsourcing but not offshoring? I pray that's true! Hire American!

The ‘recruiting’ people who get more $$$$ per hour than the employee gets paid.

I would guess that those companies are doing the background searches on these people, and making sure that you are LEGAL to work in the USA. That is no small task anymore.

But-—Temp & long term agencies have ALWAYS worked that way. I saw it in the 60’s in Los Angeles.

SOOO—IF you re capable of having a job thru this route -— DON”T BITCH ABOUT IT.

IF you are working at home-—
You have NO COMMUTING COSTS-—no gas—no vehicle—no tolls—no parking—no maintenance on a car for 500 miles a week of traveling & NO commuting TIME.

You don’t have to worry about a wardrobe. A man can get by with a couple of suits—5 shirts—8 ties-—and a couple of pairs of shoes. A woman cannot get by like that. It takes a much larger wardrobe & variety of ‘work clothes’ for a woman to not get looked at strangely at a job site.

Child care explains itself

You can eat a PBJ sandwich at home & NOT have to pay for 5 lunches a week which are hard to do for anything less than $5, even on the McDonald’s Dollar Menu.

I worked one job that was 4 days of 10 hours each, and I loved the savings——basically 20%.

I wasn’t aware that Trump had worked so hard to build this work force. He is always a mile & a year ahead of anything the Dems can dream up. He thinks outside the box.

It also must be said that IMO, this is taking many people OFF the welfare rolls & building them a work record & resume for when they no longer have young kids at home & they can then transition to a job away from home.

All the Dems running for Oval Office want to have EVERY job in the USA a UNION job.

Moves afoot in Congress now to eliminate a state’s RIGHT TO WORK laws.

No government should have that kind of control over any business—much less the 70% +++ of the work force that is considered small business.

Yup. No more India.

Just take a look at Indeed and Glassdoor for an idea of how many US based outsourcing companies are hiring.

On these types of gigs, *everybody* gets I9’d and background checked. Many end user clients, eg insurance companies, banks, etc, also require pre employment drug screening.

There are strict HIPPA rules to worry about and access to private financial data.

These are legit outsourcers.
