Pierre Delecto in the Hot Seat: Utah Lawmaker Files Legislation to Recall Sitting US Senator
Gateway Pundit ^ | February 1, 2020 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 02/03/2020 4:55:33 AM PST by Hostage

Utah Rep. Tim Quinn (R-Huber City) filed a bill this week to recall an elected US Senator. The bill was filed after months of Mitt Romney, aka Pierre Delecto, trashing and working against the Republican President.

Mitt has been among the staunchest voices against President Trump, since joining the US Senate in 2019.

President Trump had an excellent relationship with Mitt’s predecessor, Orrin Hatch. UT went for president Trump in 2016, in spite of local rightie ‘resistance’ from a few insignificant fools. Orrin Hatch assured president Trump that Mitt would be a good replacement. Then the president endorsed Mitt for the UT senate seat.

But Romney, due to envy and bitterness, and being a small ‘man’, after winning the senate seat in UT, betrayed the people of Utah, his friend Orrin Hatch and all the Trump voters, and the senate and his party too. Now even Utah is getting sick of his treachery.

On Friday Mitt Romney voted with Democrats to extend the sham impeachment trial of President Trump. What a douche!

I think it is Heber City, the most significant settlement between Park City, home of the Sundance Film Festival, and Provo, home of Brigham Young University.

They are widely considered to be the most Liberal and most Conservative cities in the state, respectively.

“””””””He shouldn’t have been ELECTED in Utah. Hell, he shouldn’t been elected ANYWHERE as a REPUBLICAN!!”””””

He was elected governor of the state that brought us Kennedy and Kerry as well as the first state to have queer marriage.

I did not vote for him in 2012 for those reasons.

I’m not sure why you posted this without stating a conclusion. Since there are only 27 amendments to the Constitution, this one must not have passed. If that’s true, I don’t know why you didn’t mention that.

Or, am I missing something?

I did vote for him in 2012 and McCain in 2008. Two of my worst votes ever.

They should have allowed for the states to recall when they popularized the election of us senators removing it from the state legislatures. The states now effectively have no representatives in the swamp.

You are right about a general lack of recall of US Senators in the Constitution. The Utah state legislator here is likely resting on the 9th and 10th Amendments.

Mark Levin is one of the leaders of an Article V effort to lead a successful path of state legislatures working to amend the US Constitution. There are several facilitating organizations to help accomplish this. Mark’s organization is known as ‘Convention of States’ or COS. Another is Assembly of States. They provide administrative and secretarial support to help states coordinate among themselves to settle on conforming language and certifying proposals.

All facilitators are populated with state legislators who are sick of DC telling them to sit at the back of the bus.

There are some amendments that now have 15 states solidly signed on, and more than 30 that have at least one chamber signed on, and the number is growing but it takes some years to get to a threshold where the number 34 is in reach to propose to the National Archives for sending out to be ratified, bypassing Congress.

The crucial thing to understand is that conservatives have overwhelming dominance when it comes to controlling states and state legislatures. So there’s no threat of the Left taking over or else they would have already done it.

The above proposed amendment is the latest iteration of one that I wrote with a lot of Freeper input and it’s been grabbed with permission by those participating closely with state legislators to work on an Article V route back to balancing state-federal power structure. Recall is one feature of this draft.

If you know Mark Levin or any of the prominent persons in the COS or any state legislators, feel free to forward the above to them for discussion,

Actually, the 17th Amendment removed a foundational support for the Republic in much the same way the Electoral College is another foundational support.

The 17th Amendment effectively severed the relationship of Congress to the People and allowed its 535 members to be bought and paid for. 535 is a small number to target when it comes to taking over a country’s political body.

The popular vote should never have been amended into the Constitution. A recall amendment would have been more appropriate.

Popular Vote = HIRE
Recall = FIRE

People will never know who they ‘HIRED’, never know the true nature of their US Senators until they see the ‘fruit’ of their US Senator’s work but even then the fruit can be obscured by campaign commercials and parliamentary tricks inside Congress.

But Recall at least allows for buyer’s remorse, allowing the People of a state to ‘FIRE’ their elected officials, their US Senators in this case.

Not to have done so would have been a vote for 0bama, as we all know. 0bama’s presidency, in the long run, turned out to be the silver lining as it directly lead to the election of President Trump imho.

“”Hope the recall succeeds.””

IF it can be done, all the other states need to do the same thing; 49 Dem Senators - DO IT!

I’m sure any dem that had that procedure started against them would say - “let the voters decide”... We’ve heard it before, haven’t we? Didn’t mean anything to them then so all’s fair in love and politics!

What does that mean?

Well stated, keep shining the light of truth on this loser.

We should only refer to him by that name from now on.

Mittens, Willard, etc are tired and worn-out.

From now on he should be referred to as Senator Delecto, D-Kolob.

Fewer people know that you can’t recall federal offices than know what natural born citizen means.
