What do fans around the NFL think of Bill Belichick? Well, they view him as a villain.

The NFL honored the top 100 people in the league’s history as part of the 100th anniversary of the league. They did so during the pregame ceremony ahead of Super Bowl LIV between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. When Belichick was introduced, the New England Patriots flashed his Super Bowl rings and was booed:

"...the New England Patriots [coach] flashed his Super Bowl rings and was booed..."

All eight of them - read 'em and weep, losers.

Yup, 8 —double checked.
6 w New England and 2 w Giants.

Technically he did not wear all 8. If he did he would have broke both his wrists from the weight of the rings...

The top 100 was a waste of time. Nice seeing some old faces but it seems like you have to be a member of the TV commentator boys club to get the opportunity to stand with the likes of Jim Brown, etc...

Saw Belichick flash his fingers but didn’t really hear any boos. He didn’t have all his rings and he held them up because the announcer mentioned the rings when he got around to Belichick.

Also, the Tom Brady commercial? Self-aggrandizing and just plain stupid. I thought he was going to try and sell some cologne or something. But no. Apparently we have been waiting with baited breath and tuned into the Chiefs vs. 49ers Super Bowl to find out what Patriots Tom Brady’s plans are for next year?... Idiot.

Keep booing idiots. Eventually, the NFL will have to change the name of the Super Bowl to the Belichick Bowl, just to get him to retire. I expect by next season, he will find someone even better than Mahomes or Brady to start another Dynasty.

When does mcCaffrey become a free agent? Patriots system is based on giving or getting the ball to someone who gets more after getting tbe ball. Very sound system.

I live in NC. McCaffrey or the Panthers new QB aren’t going anywhere. If the Patriots can get their hands on Tayson Hill with New Orleans, Belichick will build a better team than what he did with Brady.

The top 100 was a waste of time

After finding out that Larry Cszonka wasn't even considered for top running back, it all became meaningless to me. I've never been a Miami fan, but the only thing that could stop Larry Cszonka, was the USFL...

Yup. Me neither.

Whenever I see him or certain sports people mocked on Free Republic, I check the mocker’s profile to see where they’re from.

Inevitably, it is a place without a champion team for many years—or a rival to whoever they’re mocking.

Nevertheless, certain sports figures deserve our mocking when they espouse politics and especially political solutions or politicians that would harm us or degrade us.

I’m looking at you, Colin Kapernick and LeBron James!

You could definitely put my in the Basket of Rivals (hat tip to Hillary there), I’m a Saints fan, so we have been smited by the Patriots so many times, I’ve lost count.

The Pats are the best team in football. It’s been that way a long time. As a football fan, I find that awe inspiring.

I throw no shade at these men, any of them.

Though a Redskin fan at the time, Jim Kiick was a favorite of mine but I agree on Csonka. I feel the same about the Redskins former OT Joe Jacoby. The counter trey, Riggins behind Jacoby and Russ Grimm. Why is Russ Grimm in the hall and they continue to snub Jacoby?

The Lions still had the GOAT. Barry Sanders was the best football player that I will see in my lifetime.

Man, he was something else to watch.
