John’s lucky he didn’t get the Seth Rich or Andrew Breitbart treatment.

About ten years ago, an HR guy left his laptop in the trunk of his car while he had drinks with buddies. It was stolen. Guy was fired. Company provided all employees with credit monitoring service for a couple of years.

A guy who worked for me about 20 years ago was staying in a downtown Washington DC hotel. Left is bags on the sidewalk for a moment while he turned to talk to the doorman or concierge. Turned around and his laptop bag and all contents were gone. He didn’t spot anybody with the bag nearby. Only took a few seconds.

I learned my lessons from those events.

These days, you encrypt the entire hard drive, set up the tech to wipe it if too many wrong passwords are used, set up the “Find My XXX” utility to trace it, and always back it up to the cloud or a thumb drive. Of course, it is very easy to lose the thumb drive, so make sure that backup is encrypted, too. And don’t write your password on your laptop or backup thumb drive.

“It’s a pretty professional job,”... . “but it’s probably just a coincidence.”...“It was probably just a street criminal searching for pass codes,”

Those three don’t make a coherent thought.

WHY would you ever leave something like that in your car if it were investigative/ secret in nature? In DC? In any urban center? I Love John Solomon’s work but I think that’s really stupid.

I don't think John Solomon’s is stupid. Far from it.

Maybe I watch too many crime shows, this could be a set up to to see who access his stolen files by planting fake stories to be leaked to the MSM.

I used to work in the defense industry.

There are many government facilities where one is not allowed to bring an outside laptop in. If he is going into one of those, his choices are limited. They may have a facility to store electronics at security check-in, they may have one that will take cell phones, but not computers.

I’ve made the South Shore of Staten Island sound like Utopia. And it is compared to the other boroughs (don’t know about queens).

I lived briefly in Astoria Queens, interesting place, parked my car without any problems, but I never left anything in the car, my car is always clean, I leave NOTHING in my car, ever. So breaking in my car would have been pointless, so I never had an issue.

A thief will smash your window that will cost you about $100 plus to replace to steal 85 cents they spotted on the center counsel. If they see it, some drugged up dirt bag will steal it.

Break-ins are rare in the high-security area where the crime occurred, just outside the White House perimeter, and a sophisticated device appears to have been used to get into the vehicle. The computer and bag, which also contained his U.S. Capitol press security badge, were discovered the next day nearly a block away from where his car had been parked. The contents of the bag had been dumped out on a picnic bench near the FDIC building. The location had no security cameras, so there is no known video surveillance footage that can be reviewed. Authorities described it as one of the few “dark spots” in the area.

Imagine that.

That's almost as many coincidences as Epstien's *suicide*.

Agreed. Once I realized I forgot it I was on the road but it would have been easy enough to go back and take it out at some point.

I had not been in that area for a while and didn’t know i had become so white trashified.

YES I made that word up :)

The Leftists are likely to claim ANYTHING in the next few days.

Maybe some ‘incriminating emails’ between Solomon and Trump.
You just know that Trump has a bathroom server...ya jus know it.

John Solomon told RCI of the break-in, “but it’s probably just a coincidence.”

JS sure as hell knows better then that.

So, Solomon has been initiated into the "A-list?"

I bet this will cause him to be more tenacious, and more cautious, in how he handles his information.

I hope it also causes him to resist the "boom... tick-tock... bombshell..." suspense theater that the likes of Hannity and others prefer to drip impending news.

The lesson learned must be that if you have it, release it -- don't promote it first.

You might not have it tomorrow, and you might get Breitbarted tonight.
