As he wrapped up his argument for convicting Trump and removing him from office, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif) asked senators "to reflect on the damage he will do to our country if he is allowed to remain president. In the three years he's been in office he has disrupted so many long-held policies and trends that it is difficult to imagine the horror that awaits us if he is not stopped."
"Look what he has done to our economy," Schiff urged. "Millions of people, many of them minorities, have been lured off of welfare into wage-slavery. Others have become millionaires because of the soaring business growth following the deregulation and tax cuts Trump forced through. If we allow voters to reelect this monster we can expect to see more of this type of capitalist exploitation. Recent polls have shown that a distressingly large percentage of minorities have fallen for the temptations of prosperity and may jettison their traditional voting behavior. This would dramatically alter the political balance to the detriment of democracy."
"The way Trump has mistreated the White House staff foreshadows the fate of so many loyal career public servants," Schiff warned. "By the end of the third year of Obama's presidency, salaries for his White House staff totaled $60.9 million. Right now, salaries for Trump's White House staff total $35.8 million. Obama had 517 staff employees. Trump has 377. Michelle Obama had 44 staff on her payroll. Melania has five. Trump is decimating government. Many who looked forward to cushy lifetime sinecures will likely be forced into the commercial workforce where pay is tied to productivity and performance. This president clearly poses a greater threat to the permanent state than any hostile foreign power or terrorist organization."
"We can't sit by idle and count on voters to make the right choice in November," Schiff said. "We tried that approach in 2016. I don't need to tell you how badly that turned out. It's up to you senators to prevent that by convicting, removing, and disqualifying Trump from ever again holding the office of president. This may be our last chance to escape tyranny."

Of course the irony is Trump’s ongoing regard for his staff.
They have access to the White House records from the 0bama era. Trump should have fired everyone in the Executive Branch that visited the WHite House at that time and certainly should not allowed any holdovers in the White House itself.
I’m sorry. The satire escapes me here. This reads like reporting by a competent journalist - is that the satire?

What I took from Schiff’s statement was that the president is upsetting a lot of Democrat apple carts. What he didn’t mention was that this probably should have been done a long time ago.
Shifty is right. Unless we throw out all the dems this country is in trouble.
Trump’s nightmare world of prosperity and freedom signals the end of everything the Democrats worked to create.
Schiff and Nadler remind me of 4th grade class clowns constantly disrupting class.
The exasperated teacher gave out make-work......writing the multiplication table 100 times to keep them quiet.
Impeachment is make-work for unruly 4th grade House members.
Gives them something to do ........ besides looting the US Treasury.
He's right about that, but doesn't recognize the irony of what he's saying.
If these Democrats should somehow get their way, they would establish a tyranny in the USA that few Americans can even imagine. Note tagline.
God has shed His grace and blessings on America yet again by giving her a President of such towering intelligence as Donald Trump.

To be sure, Schiff is honing his political ambitions with impeachment, thrilling his donors while boring the rest of us to death.
And he’s probably pocketing millions in donations from the thrills Democrat in-breeders are getting.
But I’m betting he’s aiming higher......maybe a presidential bid.

Adam Schiff Writes Screenplays On The Side
This week’s Fun Fact comes courtesy of Rep. Adam Schiff, who shared in his New Yorker profile that not only is he a movie buff (and often quotes “The Big Lebowski”), but also he writes screenplays on the side. There seemed to be more than a tinge of regret in the California congressman’s voice when he recalled the story of his first screenplay, a pre-Holocaust story called “Remnant.” “I had an agent at William Morris tell me it was good but no one would want to see it — too depressing,” he explained.“Then ‘Schindler’s List’ came out, and I was, like, ‘Come on!’” He wrote the next one while a prosecutor, a murder-mystery called “Minotaur,” which he said was "almost accepted" by Hollywood standards. But, he has high hopes for his third. “It’s a spy drama,” he said. “That one is a work in progress.”

What the dems lack in intelligence, which is a big lack, they make up for in their evil corruption and lack of morals.
Good and evil apparently found a balance with the average conservative being the good and the average dem being the evil. The level of each is merely academic after this fact is established.

Donald Trump towers over the Democrats and their allies, including those in the news media, in intelligence and morality. They refuse to acknowledge that.
He is probably the cleanest, most non-corrupt President in US history; who could withstand the scrutiny he has received over the past 3-4 years?
That's why the Democrats hate him with such venom. It is the evil hating the good.
He says he draws his strength and direction from God. He must. There is no other way that anyone could withstand such continuous assault from some of the most powerful--and unscrupulous--people on earth.
But they're soo good at it, besides it's the only thing they know how and wanna do!
Hopefully the Ukrainian laundromat will be shut down, and all the others too!
