Bloomberg on Trump Impeachment: ‘I’d Vote to Convict’
NewsBusters ^ | 1/21/2020 | Joseph Vazquez

Liberal billionaire 2020 Democratic candidate and owner of Bloomberg News Michael Bloomberg weighed in on the liberal media-driven impeachment drama. Bloomberg told MSNBC’s Craig Melvin on NBC's Today Show on Jan. 20 that he was asked if he were Senator how would he vote. He responded, “I’d have to swallow two or three times, but I would say I would vote to impeach, vote to convict because there's just so much evidence that he acted inappropriately” [emphasis added].

Only one reason all these Democrats vote against Trump. He is an obstacle to their agenda.

To rule as totalitarians, to loot the treasury and to enslave Americans to the Globalists.

It’s alarming that Mikey doesn’t need to wait until the end of deliberations in the Senate.

Well, Bloomy, you say "he acted inappropriately."

You would have kicked Bill Clinton out of the White House? Tell the world!

Bloomberg violated laws when he personally went after Virginia gun shops. He and the gun buyer imposters he hired broke all the laws that they were fussing about. All he proved is that you can’t regulate human behavior.
There should be a Logan act regarding meddling in law enforcement and Bloomberg the meddler prosecuted.
We don’t need him in Washington!

This is Bloomberg giving us yet another reason (as if we needed any) not to elect him to office.

* * *

Indeed, it seems that's all Bloomberg can do.

Yesterday, the first day of impeachment, I googled the word "impeachment" and what did I see at the top of the page?  A Bloomberg ad pointing to mini-Mike's We Can't Let Trump Win webpage. OK, so here's a guy who paid Google a boatload of money to buy the number one ad spot on Day 1 of the Impeachment.  What did he get for that ad spot?

Well, he basically allows us to see how he can waste money with costly advertising and "persuasion" mistakes on that page:

  • The headline "We Can’t Let Trump Win" reinforces the "Trump Wins" theme, so the average voter walks away saying, "Hmm, looks like Trump will win"

  • Scroll down the page and mini-Mike points to some on-line stories that reinforce the opinion that Trump will win:

    1. Why Trump will win in 2020 [the Hill];
    2. CNN Analyst: Massive Move to Trump in new 2020 Poll [FoxNews], and
    3. Trump's Texas fundraising surges as Democrats push for Impeachment {Houston Chronicle].

  • And how is mini-Mike going to defeat President Trump?  Well, from what's mentioned, the biggest thing mini-Mike is going to do is out-spend Trump on advertising!

  • To prove his point about spending big money, mini-Mike links to a New York Times story, "Bloomberg Will Spend $100 Million on Anti-Trump Online Ad Blitz."  But guess what?  Mini-Mike points to an editorial page that's behind the NYTimes paywall!  So nobody can read the story except NYTimes subscribers.

Folks, before I feared mini-Mike would be a formidable opponent to Trump.  No longer.  He makes so many mistakes on this simple webpage that you lose all confidence in his executive skills.

Seems like mini-Mike has the political brains of [BIG GULP} Jeb Bush! — minus the guacamole bowl, of course.

Plus, mini-Mike has made himself almost totally invisible in real-life.  Trump earned $2 billion in 2016 campaign in FREE coverage.  But mini-Mike gets almost no news coverage or interviews.  He's a "virtual" candidate who makes hardly any personal appearances.

Mini-Mike you're an absolute fool.  First, you decided to challenge President Trump, a president who is CRUSHING IT with accomplishments.  And second, the execution of your campaign feels like Jeb Bush II.  PLEASE CLAP!!

Excellent analysis. Mini Mike has fallen for the “my money can get me what I want” mindset. Which is mostly correct in his war against the 2A. Taking on Trump is different.

d'rats, nothing but a waste of money.
Little Mike wastes his own.
Nervous Nancy wastes taxpayer's money, by the purchase of gold plated and
engraved pens (presented on silver trays).

If only they would spend money a little more wisely.
A ticket purchased to sip at the 'fountain of knowledge' a little more often?
Bloomberg has yet to learn money doesn't necessarily make the man.

Cheap talk, Bloomie.

Next you will tell us that when you were mayor of NYC you would have resigned in disgrace if your political opponents had accused you of “abuse of power” and “obstructing the City Council” but not of violating any statute.

Snort!

Bloomberg has yet to learn money doesn’t necessarily make the man.

Yes, we can say for certain that mini-Mike is not a people person, and that’s very costly to his campaign.

I just read his Wikipedia entry and his career is clearly impressive. So why is it he doesn’t understand that President Trump is doing great things?

Perhaps it’s because Bloomberg is a creature of Wall Street and Trump was made on Main Street.

I just googled his question and did not get an answer. But I’m sure someone on FR has the answer.

Maybe part of the reason is that Bloomberg News is a news agency like the AP — and has enjoyed unusual power to shape the news and create Fake News, which Trump is attacking.

I’m not buying this as pure billionaire vs. billionaire jealousy. The believe there’s a crooked side to Bloomberg that the Fake News is hiding from us.

I wonder what that is? I’m sure Carl Icahan and President Trump know what the real reason is. It seems to be one of the most carefully kept secrets of the financial class.

What distinguishes Bloomberg is his obsession with being a sort of super Nanny—a male Mary Poppins without Mary’s redeeming qualities. Of strange preoccupations in Presidential candidates, has any other deemed himself competent to restrict the drinking preferences or food seasoning proclivities of other citizens?
