Just came up on CFP with sourcing to Jack Posobiec that Sydney has withdrawn Gen. Flynn’s guilty plea. Wouldn’t normally post this but there are excerpts from the filing. This could be pretty big.

This should have been done back in June 2019 when he changed his legal team.

His failure to do that completely undermined the legal arguments they presented when they filed their (unsuccessful) motion to have the charges dismissed.

I agree, but they literally destroyed this man’s life. I think he just wanted it over.

Still the evil swamp, including Barr, has tentacles all the way to Flynn’s sitting judge and a very liberal group of jury folk! He doesn’t have a prayer. Yet I pray to our Lord and Savior to defend and give him justice...may Jesus come to his rescue cause ALL DC IS filthy CORRUPT!! God bless him!

Isn’t this the same judge that presided over the Ted Stevens lynching?

I've been critical of his approach since the start, and this sort of move reinforces my criticism.

First he cuts a plea deal because he "wants it over."

Then he refuses to meet the terms of that plea deal, hires a new lawyer, and tries to have the charges dismissed even though he refuses to withdraw his guilty plea. So obviously he didn't "want it over," but he didn't want to defend himself in court, either. WTF?

So now he's at bat with about 11 strikes against him already, and he files a motion to withdraw his guilty plea ... and keep this farce going on even longer -- more than TWO YEARS after his original plea deal.

None of this is coherent to me, and I'd be curious to hear what some Freeper lawyers might say about it.

Personally, I think the judge would have a hard time granting this. When Flynn was in court for his first sentencing hearing more than a year ago, he testified under oath before this same judge that he was guilty as charged -- even after the judge asked him repeatedly if he was guilty.

Either this is a brilliant game of legal maneuvering, or Flynn is an 'effing moron.

I am concerned he will not. Judge Sullivan hinted at withdrawing the plea from the moment this case landed in his court for sentencing, post guilty plea and verdict. Instead Flynn wasted his and the court’s time by twice reaffirming his guilty plea, for what a Democrat (Sullivan) might see as political objectives (embarrassing the DoJ through discovery; exposing corruption). One thing we know is that Justice has nothing to do with this case.

Glad to hear this. He might as well withdraw it since the Feds are claiming he didn’t cooperate after all, so screw them.

"Instead Flynn wasted his and the court’s time by twice reaffirming his guilty plea...

He had a deal with the Feds to plead guilty. Now all bets are off because the Feds plan to ask for stiffer sentencing because they claim he didn't cooperate. If anyone wasted the court's time, it's the Feds, who never made this claim until a week or two ago.
