Shut Down University Indoctrination! Two Solutions.

Discard brick and mortar universities!

1) Free or nearly free education exists **NOW**! The missing ingredient is private systems of certified testing.

Should it cost a quarter of a million to become a doctor or engineer? The more reasonable cost is a tenth of that.

Most of the material needed to be mastered in the STEM fields is**ROTE** and changes little from year to year. It can be learned at home through the Internet and used textbooks.

Yes, some fields require laboratory and clinical rotations. These need a brick and mortar setting....BUT... these experiences can be found or created outside of a university, as well.

2) Encourage employers to use SAT/ACT scores, internships and insurance company input to determine levels of literacy and numeracy to safely and successfully do a job.

Most jobs are learned on the job. If a job didn't need a college degree in 1950, it doesn't need one today.

3) The above can apply to K-12 education, too. The missing key is private systems of certified testing.

Insurance company input?

Just need a testing company to coordinate with some big insurers and start up testing for those who study online, but not with an accredi-bloated institution.

The reason I included insurance companies is those involved with workman’s comp would know the level of literacy and numeracy needed to do a job safely.

This would overcome the racial objections to using SAT and ACT exams. Hey! It’s for the safety of the employee and the customer.

How does workman’s comp really know that?

I’m not trying to be dense here.

Rush and the others frustrate me, too. I believe there are two reasons that the major talk show hosts don’t cover Marxist indoctrination in the K-12 schools.

1) They don’t have kids or their kids are or were in private schools.

2) Too many of their listeners are teachers, vendors to the schools, or employees of school vendors. Even my dentist and his five employees are very dependent on the dental insurance of his school employee patients.

You should listen to Dennis Prager. He doesn’t take prisoners when is comes to universities.

Well...Maybe they don’t know but they have the resources to find out just exactly what levels of literacy and numeracy are needed to do a job safely.

Even Prager....I wish he would spend more time on the problem of K-12 indoctrination. He does a great job with the university issues, though.

Agree.

Who is the biggest employer in most communities?

I follow Dennis Prager but maybe I missed it.

Has he ever talked about finding ways to shut down the university choke hold on credentialing?

Re: Who is the biggest employer in most communities?

Answer! The government schools!

This why churches are reluctant to open private schools. There are too many teachers and others sipping from the government school money bottle.

I think Prager U is his solution.

Re: The Prager solution

I support his efforts. As I posted previously, universities are like a big festering pimple. It needs to be squeezed from every side.
