That did make me LOL! ^^
We need lots of rope.
I was a bit of a leftist in college. I didn't like the war in Vietnam. I didn't trust the government. But I always loved America.
I don't understand why so many hate America and are actively working for its destruction.
WOW! That's exactly what john kerry said.
BUT, I always loved America.
Explain what is a "bit of a leftist" exactly?
You only threw bombs at people that you disagreed with?
BUT, you always loved America.
Go back and read what you just posted. SAD.
OMG!!! Funny but sad!!!!
Hey. People change. College kids are stupid.
Aren't you glad FatherOfFive changed for the better?
Lighten up, Francis.
LOL. Good one.
Like they say if you aren’t a socialist when you’re a kid you have no heart, and if you aren’t a capitalist when you grow up you have no brains.
I personally had no heart but hey, nobody’s perfect...
I’d give him a break.
Some of our best allies are those who used to see things from the other side.
Reagan. Trump. And this Freeper.
My younger brother also falls into this category.
Alaska, you ignorant slut
John Kerry LOVES government, as long as he is in charge, and telling us how to live. He loves war if it supports those trying to destroy America. he loves Iran. He loves high taxes. He doesn't want our government to reflect our founding Christian values. Kerry doesn't love America as founded.
Explain what is a "bit of a leftist" exactly?
I opposed the Vietnam War, as most 70's leftists did. I supported the leftist Kennedy's tax cuts. I was fortunate that my Economics professor used 'Capitalism & Freedom' as a core text. As much as I consider homosexuality a grave sin, government should not regulate morality. Bush made a huge mistake moving against Saddam - Muslim's cannot exist in a civilized society. I cheered the Iran - Iraq war, two enemies fighting each other. The 70's leftists didn't realize it, but opposing government growth and reach is a real 10th Amendment issue
Many Leftist positions of the 70's are conservative issues today.
hey, never mind what USS Alaska sez, he don’t mean nuttin by it.
sfarzahzur question - when folks since before they could multiply, are fed the same bullshit, day in day out, every hour of their waking moments...
and when the time comes that those people are now teens, can now kinda sorta think for themselves (well, supposedly)...
and at that point/fm that point onwards, you just attack anyone who doesn’t agree with you, with the “ideal” religion that makes you oh so right, and anyone else just vermin... and you keep “otherizing” those, attacking them at an emotional level (”we progressives are GOOD, those against us are BAD”)
and you have all this done to you, every day, by well spoken talking heads, good lookin’ broads and handsome men, dressed up nice and respectable-like...
and all you hear, all you have heard, is that America is BAD...
well Fo5, there will always be a remnant that falls for this crap - and since it’s emotional, I don’t think rational thought, logic, reason, etc., can reach those so invested.

Thata boy. The leftist position of reverting to name calling as the first thought in your logic trail has not changed since college.
You are still a leftist in your argument approach, and since you are the father of five, I hope you are raising them better than your parents did with you.
Leftist, socialist, communist, tomato, tamato...
You obviously have no sense of humor.
