My pastor and most of the congregation carries. Without fail. It seems almost third world to think the one place I most need to carry is church.

One of my favorite authors was Skeeter Skelton who died way to young. I remember his saying that their Methodist preacher in Hereford, Texas kept a .45 auto in his pulpit.
I live in Western PA and when I go to Mass, I carry and it's legal{I have a concealed carry permit}.
My Priest{s} know I carry and every one approves.

Analysis of shooting:
Down here in Texas, not only does God guide our conscience, he tends to guide our aim, too. It looked like that poor soul who took the second round from the perp was coming out with his own gun, but was a bit too slow on the draw. I must have counted at least a dozen other guns that came out during the video. Let that be a lesson to the perps: don’t mess around in a Texas church.
Next time try one of your liberal sanctuary gun-free jurisdictions, bud.

After looking at the video again, it looks like the perp did manage to get off one last shot toward the unarmed congregation before the guy to the left of screen takes him out. So, there were four shots in all.

I always carry in church. At least one or two other guys and “Granny”, also (she’s probably the better shot).

The time has passed to allow open access even in churches. You cannot depend on casual CCW to protect against a threat like this, a concealed pistol-grip shotgun at point blank range.

Biden was outraged that our governor removed the restriction of carrying in Texas churches, calling it “totally irrational.”
Governor Abbott merely agreed with most Texans that while everybody is looking forward to entering the Kingdom of Heaven, nobody is looking for prohibitive shortcuts to getting there.
By the way, when’s the last time Biden darkened the door of a church in the absence of an armed personal security detail?
