The rest of the country is awakening slowly on just what a populist patriotic movement can do. Canada is a country where its citizens feel loyal to their home province first, and the feds are seen as pretty much useless when it comes to local issues, and the CBC propaganda keeps the people largely uninformed. But they are slowly waking up as they see what is possible by seeing the economic accomplishments of their U.S. neighbors to the South.
In truth, the liberals are scared to death that populism is finding its roots in Canada, just as it has in Britain and in Brazil as well as other nations.If the Conservative Party does not embrace populist sentiment, then a 3rd party will,just as the “Alliance Party “ has done in New Brunswick.
There is huge buyers remorse, and that fight us just beginning in Canada.
