Remember when you could watch TV like this during the Christmas season? Here it is in its entirety. God bless us, everyone.
Watched it TWICE already :)
Free on youtube but I can’t find the Scrooge..the one with Albert Finney, I think his name is, the one with the song “Thank you very much” :)
Might have to pay for it. AH!!!! :)
Merry Christmas!
...we’ll take your pen..and pencible :)
Great, great music
Even as a child Mr. Magoo drove me nuts. Thankfully I have versions of a Christmas Carol on DVD. I have the ones starring Alistair Sim, Reginald Owen and George C. Scott. All favorites of mine. Mr. Magoo absolutely not.
My word that one on FX must have Dickens rolling over in his grave.
Thanks for posting this! I remember this from way back when. My Christmas tradition as of late has been to watch different versions of A Christmas Carol. So, now I can put this one in my lineup! Thanks again and Merry Christmas!
That one is on youtube, at least for the time being.

Enjoy!
I think the George C. Scott version is the best!
YOU ROCK!!!!!
Thank you and Merry Christmas!!
Agreed. I love the George C. Scott version. The one with Patrick Stewart was lame.
My husband and son watched the version on FX and told me how terrible it was. So sad. You are correct Charles Dickens must be rolling in his grave. How could they do that to Dickens?
Lottie, this is the first version of “Carol” that I ever saw. The music is very touching. Magoo rocks.
Sorry, you are the Scrooge of the day! lol
I like the old Magoo Christmas Carol. A surprisingly faithful production of the original book.
Another good recommendation is “The Man Who Invented Christmas” which recounts Charles Dickens endeavors writing “A Christmas Carol”.

I may re-think seeing it upon your suggestion.
Merry Christmas
This is the best version of A Christmas Carol, bar none.
I was about 12 years old before I realized that all other versions of “A Christmas Carol” weren’t going to have the same music as that featured in “Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol”. The songs from MMCC make my Christmas complete ... great stuff!
Love that song, thanks for posting.
Snoopy Rocks! :)
I was only teasing you, of course. But I love the fact that it includes what I believe is the most poignant scene of the life of Scrooge. It is when he sees Belle with her children, and he realizes that they could have been his own.
