The headline is not only in accurate, it’s also a mixed metaphor. And the metaphor in the first sentence is pretty weak. Yet the authors are no doubt convinced of their own cleverness
He probably thinks that he's cleaned out all the customers that didn't appreciate his hack emails over the years, so he's all in on the political partisanship.
