NewsCorp executives endorsed John F. Kerry in 2004.

Allegedly Fortune Magazine is a foreign owned (Asian) publication now.

Porky Stirewalt is in charge of that effort and he was severely hurt when he blew the polls the day of the 2016 election. He is the one that wouldn’t let Fox announce Trump’s win until the next day because it made him look bad. He has been a staunch anti-Trumper since then. One way to look at it is that in order for Fox to be considered “fair and balanced”, they must have bad, biased reporters on their staff, preferably anti-Trump and anti-conservative to balance out their conservatives..

Geraldo has been damn good lately. I never liked him before, but I think he is excellent.

I couldn’t agree more. Ainsley drives me nuts with her over the top sweetness and Brian is simply a bufffoon. He makes the most inane statements. I do like Steve a lot.

Good analysis. The bottom line is Fox News is compromised a bit and is purposefully skewering polls to attack Trump.

Braun provides no information about where the sample came from geographically within the United States, but there is a big, big difference between a “Republican” living in Rhode Island or some other coastal state and a “Republican” living in Oklahoma or Louisiana or anywhere else out here in Flyover Country. If the poll’s GOP sample consisted mainly of “Republicans” like Mitt Romney or Arnold Schwarzenegger or William Weld or John Kasich, then the poll’s outlier result is entirely explainable.

The paragraph above shows a misunderstanding of Republicans in blue states. Don’t equate the GOP politicians who are able to win elections (like Collins or Romney) with the Republican voters.

The politicians are RINOs because you win by getting some crossover votes from Democrats and Democratic leaning independents. RINOs can get elected where conservatives can not.

But the actual Republican voters are just as conservative as Republicans anywhere in the country, they just are a smaller percentage of the overall population.

I quit The Wall Street Journal for similar reasons and now Business Insider is just as bad.

I'm surprised it's taken some smart people such a long time to figure Fox News out.

It has never been a serious news network. With few exceptions, it's a tabloid-trash TV entertainment venue.

I knew this years ago when Dennis Prager had a show on Fox. This guy is one of the smartest personalities in conservative media, and built an outstanding reputation from his radio and newspaper column days. But his Fox show was utter sh!t -- not because of Prager himself, but because the content was generally aimed at the kind of mildly retarded audience that finds lowbrow television entertainment worthwhile.

Stirewalt has always been ANTI Trump
He was in cahoots with Megyn to bring Trump down on the first debate!

It backfired!

For all his flaws, Geraldo Rivera has generally been favorable to Donald Trump for the same reason Piers Morgan is. They’re in the entertainment business and they’ve known each other for years.

Faux Snooze is run by Paul Ryano and his ilk. It is clear to all. Once Roger Ailes died we all lost.

I miss Fox News.

Fox News does not do polls. They hire someone to do them. The purpose of these polls, from their point of view, is not to determine the opinions of the American people. These polls are a marketing tool for them and they are marketing their product, news. They don’t care that these polls are nonsense because getting accurate results costs money, Fox doesn’t want to pay for accurate results. Crappy results will work fine for marketing purposes, so that’s what we get.

Fox polls have always been his bad. Nothing new. Can’t say why they choose this approach, but it was been like this at least as far back as 2004.

There has been a noticeable change at Fox News lately, though. You are right, but it has drifted off into the weeds.
