Impeachment Implosion: Wave Of Polls Show Swing Toward Trump
The Revolutinary Act ^ | 12/13/19

Posted on 12/13/2019 6:49:21 AM PST by Liberty7732

It appears that Nancy Pelosi’s initial political instincts were right: Impeaching President Trump over a phone call would be bad politics. And now with the hearings held and the two milquetoast articles of impeachment on the table, which do not even mention a Constitutionally requisite crime, it may be worse than she thought.

It’s so sudden that we are seeing about a dozen House Democrats in Trump-won districts publicly stating they would prefer censure over impeachment. They will likely be strong-armed into voting for impeachment, but we can only imagine what their internal district polling must look like.

FiveThirtyEight has created a running poll aggregator that pulls in every poll that asks some version of a yes/no question on the Trump impeachment. It’s like the RealClear Politics list of polls, but it uses a lot more polls and created a formula for aggregating them them all together. In this respect, it gives the broadest view and maybe most importantly, the trendline.

And that trendline ain’t good for Democrats.

At the beginning of the hearings last week, the FiveThirtyEight poll aggregator had Americans favoring the impeachment of Trump by 5.3 percent support. (That included polls both in impeaching and impeaching and removing.) But as of today, that gap has shrunk to 1.7 percent supporting impeachment.

The RCP composite poll on impeachment shows the same shift. It went from Americans favoring it by a 3.2 percent margin at the beginning of the hearings all the way down to Americans being dead even right now.

That’s a huge move considering both FiveThirtyEight and RCP are still pulling in those polls that were higher earlier. This aggregator is showing what the Quinnipiac and Monmouth polls showed this week — that the impeachment hearings are doing the opposite of making the case for Democrats’ impeachment claims.

Both Quinnipiac and Monmouth showed moves of up to seven points against impeachment, and gigantic swings among independent voters.

And on the bottom line — because this is all political — Firehouse Strategies released their new quarterly battleground polling results this week and found Trump surging in the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin — which likely mirror what Democrats are seeing in districts won by Trump.

The shift is interesting in its timing. One would suppose that once the Democrats got to make their case, with just their witnesses, in the chamber where they have a majority, that the polls would swing toward impeachment — at least until the Senate held the “trial” phase and many different witnesses were brought in.

But it was actually during this time that the polls shifted against impeachment. One possible explanation is that when Americans were only getting information filtered and fitted by the Democrat Media Establishment, they were more in favor of impeachment. When the media could not spin it for those Americans watching, the polls shifted.

Whatever the reason, impeachment was a gigantic miscalculation by Democrats, one they may pay for in November.

Democrats,

Who the Hell did you think you were fooling with this horseshit?

You are all heinous enemies of The Constitution and Freedom.

You are exposed.

My prediction is that after the trial, there will be an acquittal bump that the media will describe as “unexpected”.
In honest polls, Trump will lead all challengers by double digits.

I do admire how the 'rats always stick together, even if it's to run headlong off a cliff as they seem to be doing now. They passed Obamacare even though it cost many their seats in the House and Senate. The Republicans RINOs always waver for "fear of being blamed", or from "reaching across the aisle". The 'Rats passed Obamacare, but the GOP couldn't repeal it. The 'Rats understand the need to stick together at all times.

Pelosi was for impeachment from Day 1, her hesitation was a bad act.

England is our clue as to how this is all breaking.

Other countries' people watch the USA a lot more than our people watch them.

People all over the world are tossing out their commie politicians, or resisting their commie dictators. I believe Trump, and our commie Democrats' sub-human behavior, are driving a lot of foreign political upheavals.

The FiveThirtyEight poll aggregator used a whole bunch of polls that were false or push polls.

They use polls containing All Adults, Registered Voters and Likely Voters with no real distinction between them. Polls from the most Leftist news organizations to the generally Left wing organizations. Do they even use Rasmussen? Because only that ONE polling firm is not invested in bending the mood of the voters.

We have a saying in computer science:

“Garbage in; garbage out.”

Yup. A lot can happen before November. A Rat conjured October surprise. The economy could collapse. A major school shooting. Whatever. But the way things are going as long as the Republicucks can stay on offense and maybe our side gets in the streets and fights back, the left is toast.

I’ve said it since day one.. this #SEINFELDIMPEACHMENT was NEVER about Trump....

Its internal party politics being played out in public as get Trump.

This entire thing in my mind, is nothing more than a rope a dope to knee cap the far left wing of the democrat party, by the democrat party infrastructure.

No Democrat can win 2020, the smart folks know and admit this.... If however they run a candidate like a Biden who is considered a “moderate” and lose, the far left wing just screams “SEE WE DIDN’T GO LEFT ENOUGH” and continues to gain power and influence....

If however they run a leftist/whackadoo and get crushed that entire argument falls flat, that part of the part loses influence and power, and the party can moderate for the 2024 cycle when they actually will have some chance at winning.

This is why, in my opinion they are doing this.. because they claim Trump has broke all kinds of laws, but when they finally decide we are going to go forward with impeachment it was over UKRAINE??? Why??? Because Ukraine taints BIDEN not Trump.

Purpose off all this, is to take Biden out, ensuring a leftist gets the nomination, while at the same time firing up the Trump base to 11, and alienating and angering the middle, so that said leftist doesn’t just lose, but gets absolutely CRUSHED..

There was no way this was going to play out any other way politically. Trump was never going to be removed from office, and there was no way they were going to win the electorate with it, so why do it? Why? Because it has nothing to do with Trump... but has everything with knee capping the radical left of the party. This thing is, and always has been, a rope a dope for the radical left.
