The family dog of 13 years had to be put down. Her body was shutting down and nose cancer had taken its toll. She wouldn't eat and I had to carry her.
I can't say enough good things about the local vets, C-Vets Emergency, and NC State K9 Oncology. They did so much for her and us during her time.
RIP to the world's best GSD ever. Terra.

So sorry for your loss, I lost my Golden Retriever Amber in 2014 at 11 1/2.
One of the hardest things I ever had to do was put her down.

I’m so sorry. I’m sure she was a wonderful dog. It is so hard when we lose them.

She had a great home, brought fun and love to you, and you had a good 13 years. I am sorry that her time came. Some pets are special, and she sounds like she is one of them.

Always sad to hear about the family pet. Dogs are the most loyal.

Pets are family, nonhuman, but family. We mourn the loss of family. :(
Sincere condolences. I went through this exact cancer with my standard poodle in 2010. Hugely painful - in the end I decided I shouldn’t prolong her misery. I got another dog right away that sort of softened the blow but still it was rough for at least a year.
It is a sad day when our friends with Four Paws leave us. I am sorry for your loss.
I’m in between Dog’s right now but maybe soon I’ll find that loving companionship that only a dog can bring.
They are our stalwart, loyal, heartwarming friends and we miss them dearly when they depart from us. The memories are sweet, and this I can assure you.

So sorry to hear of your loss, they bring so much joy and happiness in our lives and the saddest day of our lives.
I miss my boy every day, and still carry his dog tag on my key chain as a way to honor is memory.
It’s been three years and our new dog has found a his place in our hearts...
