It is no surprise to find out that the Democrats are impeaching President Trump for strictly political reasons. What is a surprise is that The Atlantic magazine revealed that is the main motivation for impeachment.
Assistant editor Elaine Godfrey throws out a few obligatory civics lessons nods about the "democratic process" or "seeking the truth" but she quickly gets to the heart of the matter in Friday's article, which concedes the brutal truth for liberals that "Democrats Know Trump Isn’t Going Anywhere."

If the democrat coup plotters can get their puppet show over to the senate and the senate demands and gets secret ballots on the removal vote after their rigged “trial” - look for it to be close with Trump barely surviving but headed to a crushing win in 2020
This brings to mind some of Atlantic Magazine’s groundbreaking reporting on the tendency of bears to defecate in wooded areas.
The Impeachment charade is intended to create a non-stop flood of negative stories in the compliant propaganda media up through the next election, and to cast doubt on the propriety of Trump nominating another Supreme Court Justice which looks like will be necessary sooner rather than later.
It all has nothing to do with impeaching Donald Trump, but when have Leftists ever cared about actually accomplishing anything?

Jeez. Trump wasn't aloud to have counsel, to call his own witnesses, and in some cases, Schiff directed the witness to NOT answer certain questions. Legal case? Maybe in a Kafka novel...

It’s going to be interesting to see how Congressional Democrats in districts that went heavy for Trump in 2016 vote on shampeachment. Think Conor Lamb of PA.
