Abolish government schools.
Do these people have children? ***********
Yes, And they might trade them off to each other for the weekends.
This is on the parents. They are not forced to send their kids to these schools, any more than they are forced to eat at the Salmonella Diner.
Amen!
I am so glad that my mother and my father-in-law are long dead and gone. They were of like mind, and this kind of thing would have made them go berserk.
Then again, my mother lived through the depression as a newlywed in NYC, and she said that the sixties, societally speaking, were much worse than that. I wish I had the foresight to say: “You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.”
Don’t worry, parents! Of course the “educators” are doing everything “for the children”. Of, yes. They need more money “for the children”. Shut up and pay your taxes.
Austin is the modern day version of Gomorrah with San Fran being the modern day version of Sodom. We all know what happened with the original Sodom and Gomorrah and a few other surrounding villages around them back when God had had enough of their wickedness..
You are half right. Many of us, including my family, homeschool our children. However, these Sodomites will not stop at the public school. They will mandate with religious fervor that ALL children be taught in this manner and come after us eventually. That is the Sodomite away (Genesis 19)
What else do you expect from Austin? Just wait until they have kids practice in class. Seriously, not joking. This liberal hell hole would stoop to that.
Parents went to the school board to stop it but the board ignored them.
At least two schools in the suburbs of Austin, Leander and Round Rock, might get a holiday tomorrow. Why? Because kids might be on a sugar high the day after Halloween. Never mind the libs there have all but banned Halloween.
In East TX, our relatives have put their kids in private school this year because their local public school wasn’t teaching history prior to the almighty Clintons.
You can’t pay me enough to drive over to Austin these days. Upside down.
Reason #2,000,000,000,000,000,000,004 to homeschool...
WOW ! I, too, would have my kids in private schools! What is happening to the people of this country?? Very disheartening and, even worse, can we get back to common sense and good morals?
MY PARENTS WOULD HAVE STORMED THE SCHOOL and GOT I TO THE TEACHERS FACES and would NEVER HAD ALLOWED this to go THRU. But then again, they PAID forme to go go PRIVATE CATHOLIC SCHOOLS !!!
Anal sex is how lawyers are conceived.....we have enough lawyers
Yeppers. Back in the 70s to the mid 80s austin was a pretty good place. The Population doubled when UT was in session and dropped off in the Summer. Barton Springs was awesome and not laden with E-Coli. Lake Travis was not a$$holes to elbows.
Armadillo World Headquarters was a good place to go to get some Nachos and a Beer or glass of wine and jam to Frank Zappa or hit the Bars on 6th Street and sit 10 away from Stevie Ray Vaughn for a few drinks and small cover charge.
Grab a Buffalo Burger at Huts Hamburgers on 6th Street , Dirty Martins on The Drag and get an OT Special w/ Onion Rings (while Doc was still there) and Katzs Deli on 5th Street at 03:00 for a Ruben.
The Real Estate and Housing boom went BANG! and POOF then the down hill slide began. And then Dell moved into Round Rock and everything started going down the tubes. Traffic tripled with brainless drivers that had Cellphones glued to their head. And the Masses of Techies that got up in the morning and bowed to the North while on their knees. Lake Travis was so full of Boats that you could walk from Lago Vista to Mansfield Dam without touching the water.
290 & 183 was 2 lanes each way on both and grass on all 4 corners. 183 & IH-35 was 3 lanes each way. Nary a Toll Road anywhere.
I remember as well but not all of what you elucidate on but otherwise I do agree especially up until about 1990 and then I saw the city spiraling downwards too. I also started noticing the down turn into sin city and with all of its ugliness.I stopped driving down to Austin for those very reasons. I live about 45+ miles north of Houston up Hwy 59 in the rural countryside.
But in essence Austin is more like a petri dish chocked full of nastiness and diseased thinking ad way of life and other bad things that is tearing down our society. It is no longer a city where a man would want to try and raise a family in. It has become just too wicked and evil and dirty in many places just like some of the cities out in California and getting worse. It has become the embodiment of Sodom and Gomorrah IMHO.
