Speaking at an event in Chicago called the “Obama Foundation Summit” (were any heads of state present?), Michelle Obama let slip her resentment of white people. The grudge goes back to her childhood, and she does not seem to see much progress in the behavior she attributes to Caucasian-Americans. Fox News reports what the New York Times doesn’t:
White Americans are “still running” elsewhere when minorities and immigrants move into their communities, Michelle Obama observed Tuesday. (snip)In a sit-down interview with journalist Isabel Wilkerson, in which Obama was accompanied by her brother, Craig Robinson, an executive with the NBA’s New York Knicks, Obama described when she first became conscious of what’s been called “white flight.”
We were doing everything we were supposed to do – and better,” Obama said of her family, recalling when they got a new address on Chicago’s South Side. “But when we moved in, white families moved out.
“I want to remind white folks that y’all were running from us,” she continued, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. “And you’re still running.”

What sane person wouldn’t run from her upon looking up and seeing her swinging from tree to tree... No possible vine could possibly handle that kind of tonnage...
Oh, too bad, I guess since the Mooche is revealing herself for who she really is (TMI!) she’s actually not running for President.
We interact with black folk everyday and get along fine. The only person having a race problem is the racist Michelle. Get over your racist self, Michelle. You’re about to be dumped in the pile of racist irrelevance.
Wait, wait, wait ... where are their houses? Ultra rich northern Virginia and ultra rich Hamptons ...? Why did they buy those houses in those neighborhoods?
You're right - for the same reasons she and her family wanted to move out of all black communities and toward 'whiteness' is the same reason white people move out of neighborhoods transitioning to black - and move toward 'whiteness'...
On the flip side of Michelle Obama's sadness, is the sadness experienced by the white family that leaves the old neighborhood, losing old friends, connections and money on a home they've maintained for years. Worse? The person who stayed.... for decent reasons or fear of moving...and wound up living in a high crime hellhole with a home that's lost so much value they can't afford to sell and leave.
Michelle's problem is not with white families - it's with black families knowing they can get well maintained homes cheap if they can 'bust' a community.
And if that sounds horrible (and it a better world it would be horrible) we have to remember the opposite also happens. White people - usually young intellectuals - can move into a black neighborhood with nice quality older homes, fix them up, form watch programs, pull in nice restaurants, and force black people out with raising tax and home prices.
Both races play this game... both are innocent - both guilty...
After that “Stanleyville on the Patapsco” incident in Baltimore (where white hostages couldn’t leave the stadium after the Orioles game because of nearby wilding/Mau Mauing), any illusions of integration/assimilation were gone. If not for cellphone footage shot by the intended targets, we’d never know it even happened.
The next game was played in an empty stadium (after two were canceled and had to be played later as a double-header); why would anyone ever invest anywhere near a feral population? When the NJ Nets owner moved his team to Brooklyn (instead of bowing to pressure to move to Newark), he was simply following common-sense instincts; unemployed b-ball players in neighborhood playgrounds don’t buy tickets/merchandise.
