Col. Vindman? I’m sorry, but you seem to have been asleep in your high school civics course when they covered the part of the Constitution where they told you that it is the President of the United States who sets Foreign Policy, not some minor functionary in the National Security Advisor’s office, which is not even mentioned in the Constitution except, perhaps, in passing as one of the incidental presidential advisors—keyword, “advisors” which advise the president who has the final say on any matter of policy.

In case you aren’t getting it, I am referring to you, Col. Vindman.

He’s not a full colonel.

He didn’t go to civics class, he’s a Ukrainian. He went to soviet Russian class as the Commissar.

He should be court martialed and put in front of a firing squad.

Remember when the dems trying to railroad Reagan called Oliver North in to testify and he showed up in uniform ('how dare he?!') and the public lined up 100% behind him, ruining the dems dream of making him a villain in their pantomime?

They are hoping to reverse that here with their own Colonel that they expect will make Americans reflexively support him. There is a big difference: Oliver North testified in public, on TV. This guy testified inside a secret room and we only know what he said via selective leaks. That makes a BIG difference.

The LtCol may have violated his oath. Yes the oath says support and defend the constitution but he also swore to “obey the orders of the President of the United States and officers appointed over me” or words to that effect. It is my understanding that as the Chief Executive the President has issued a directive forbidding those under the executive branch from testifying. This was a heated topic of discussion the other night, because the personnel from State testifying should have been stopped.

If what was argued is true the LtCol disobeyed that directive, and eroded the Presidents executive privilege. I can understand not going after State personnel, but this LtCol should receive a Letter if Reprimand from the President and be transferred to a desk at the Pentagon until the impeachment process has run its course because he may now be a material witness against the CinC.

No way should he remain at NSC. There are a thousands ways to now end his career and that of his brother who he injected into this via his statement. The brother should be transferred to someplace like the JRIC at Fort Sheridan, IL. Where he is available to Congress but out of NSC and anything to do with The Ukraine.
