Blunt is mine and I hate him but the farmers love him and who likes illegal aliens? Big AG.
Not up for re-election in 2020 either, else he wouldn’t have done this. If this came up in 2021 after Trump wins in a landslide, Blunt would have voted differently. He ain’t dumb. He’s like McConnell, a true politician but only a true representative of the people when he has to be.
So if North Korea lobs a missile at us he should wait for congressional authorization to strike back?

It’s not a problem ... as soon as that insanity is passed on to the Senate it’s dead on arrival.
Congress did appropriate the money to the Pentagon.
Some of that money is now being used by the Army Corps of Engineers to award contracts for construction of the security barriers on our Southern border.
The appropriated funds are being used where needed.

Well, does that mean that the vote of the House of Representatives met the two-thirds requirement? If so, a whole lot of Repubs would have had to have crossed over to vote with the Progs ...

The chamber voted by a 53-36 margin to end the emergency. Ten Republicans voted with Democrats in supporting the resolution.
That’s probably a good indication of how an impeachment vote might go - nowhere near the 2/3 they need to commit treason against the People.
