What’s up with you midwestern folks? You go to bed at 8 or something? :)
I’m READY for the kind of lifestyle now.
NYC is for the young.
Well it WAS.
Now it’s for No One.

I spent three weeks in Cedar Rapids, IA back around 1982. Went there to train at Rockwell-Collins. I remember being told that they roll up the sidewalks there around 7 o'clock and they weren't kidding. By 8PM, there was nothing happening and nothing to do but drink 7 & 7s at the hotel bar (Best Western Longbranch) and watch whatever was on the black and white TV behind the bar.
I'm sure it's changed a little since then but back then, I felt like I was in the middle of nowhere. Nice people though.

Wow.
It’s not like it was the 50s.
It was ‘82.
Ah, that sounds better now that i’m older.
May be too extreme a change though
I want to be able to get a hero with a mile at least of where i live at any hour :)

71% of the planet is oceans
Of the remaining 29%, 33% is deserts..or one third of the planet's surface.
Only 71 percent of Earth's land surface is defined as habitable; the remaining 29 percent comprises of glaciers and barren land.

It’s probably not up to your high standards, but you can get tasty sammiches lots of places in the Podunk Midwest. Like here: https://www.lapeermancinos.com/

In fact it looks GREAT and DEFINITELY Like I would expect a NYC Italian place to offer.
It’s not the early 1900s anymore.
I keep forgetting :)
Not only have those of Italian descent spread out through America, but many of all persuasions have learned how to make great Italian food.
now i’m HUNGRY

Most of those aren’t even lights. They are natural gas flaring off of the oil well heads. Pecos/Jal Texas is very similar.
