Are You Able To Defend Your Position On Trump

I hear negative comments about President Trump from the media which is understandable because that is their function. I hear of the enormous harm President Trump has done to the nation. I hear claims of lies President Trump tells. It only concerns me when I hear support of the negative reports from friends and relatives, people whose opinions I respect.

I base my political beliefs on facts whilst I accept my religious beliefs on faith. The point is you cannot reason people out of something they did not reason themselves into.

I support President Trump based on facts. Refuting facts is the only way to diminish my support. What people I respect believe concern me if it appears they formed their beliefs without awareness of facts. If I discover I based my support of President Trump on false information I will remedy my position using the correct information.

Discerning the truth from today’s media is difficult because the media no longer reports the news; they star in the news. Almost all negative reports, directly or indirectly, contain the words, “if true”.

There are few willing to engage in productive discourse when I attempt to discuss a particular harm or lie associated with President Trump. I have discovered that they oppose three different Trumps. There is citizen Trump, candidate Trump, and President Trump.

I am easily able to defend President Trump on the many forums that I am on. It is the other side who cannot defend their wild accusations.

Honestly, I see no need to defend my position on President Trump any more than I see a need to defend my position on the Second Amendment or the Rule of Law under the Constitution of the United States or my belief that my salvation is through Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Semper Fi!

Since the country has been gaslighted daily and relentlessly. It’s pointless to defend my positions on Trump.

Most people are NPC and mindlessly repeat the media pablum it’s much easier not to think....

Yes, I don’t see a need to defend my position, either. I am not interested in engaging in any conversation with anyone who would challenge my position on POTUS.

the enormous harm President Trump has done to the nation

The only ones doing enormous harm to the nation are the sore losers in the media and on the Left (but I repeat myself). Trump himself has done nothing but good for America, but the haters can't admit that. They continue to tear the country apart just like children throwing a tantrum and breaking things because they didn't get their way.

I don’t have to defend sh!t.

Everyone just has to stand fast.

I’ve never lost an argument with a liberal. I just can’t stand talking to deranged people.

But seriously, if I do talk to liberals it almost always ends with them crying.

people whose opinions I respect.

Stop respecting their opinion on matters of politics. Talk about food, beer, wine, fishing, hunting, family, sports, and other things you can see eye to eye on. As far as they are concerned, Trump is Hitler. You can't reason with that.

Exactly. Just as I do not need to defend my position on the execution of all those Deep State scumbags who have been relentlessly undermining the Constitution, Bill of Rights and our national sovereignty for the past few years.

It’s not just about defending Trump.

Think back to 2016, when ABH (Anybody But Hillary) was a very reasonable position. Trump benefitted from that, and somewhat surprisingly (since I’ve been fooled before) turned out to be a terrific President—dedicated to helping the country at large, including its workers and its businesses. He’s the rare politician who has tried to keep his promises.

Well, 2020 maybe shaping up to be another ABH year, in the form of Anybody but Warren, or Anybody but Hillary. Or, if you like, ABD—Anybody But a Democrat. They are threatening to financially rape anyone who isn’t one of their supporters, or who, after paying taxes for many years, has still managed to accumulate some wherewithal.

Trump’s the only hope against that. The rest doesn’t matter.

And, they are out to get him.

Usually, defending President Trump involves first finding out what information the other person is relying on.

My mother, for instance, really believed that Trump told the President of Ukraine *eight times* (she said) that he was withholding money. I simply say, don't take the media's word for it, find out for yourself.

More generally, I tell people that I don't blame the Democrats or Republicans, as we all know who they are and what they're going to do. I tell them that I blame the media for claiming to be objective reporters of the news and then they hide, obscure, edit, and misstate the news. I tell people to never trust the first 48 hours of what they hear, to wait before forming conclusions.

That's how I defend Trump, by questioning where the other person got their information, by asking them to wait a little longer, and to go read the sources for themselves.

Under Trump policies, employment for blacks, Hispanics, and women is above historical record high levels.

So, IF Trump is a racist and sexist, then Odinga, Clinton, and all the other presidents had to be 10 times worse.

So, how do YOU explain Odinga and Clinton being SO EVIL toward blacks, Hispanics, and women????

{{{pause; wait for answer. Nothing? Okay.}}}

I base my political beliefs on facts whilst I accept my religious beliefs on faith.

If meaning blind faith, belief in the absence of evidence, then you have the atheistic definition of faith, not the Biblical one, which is that of trust based upon evidential warrant, which is what you have in voting. Did Israel obey Moses and leave Egypt based on blind faith? Did Peter and company decide to follow the Lord based on blind faith? Did not faith in the God of Scripture result in realities that provide more warrant for faith? Does not repentant faith in the risen Lord Jesus result in changes in heart and life which correspond to the claims of the Object of that faith?

Even in getting married, you make a decision based a degree of evidential warrant, as you do in voting, since you do not know for sure if that person you choose is all you surmise they are. In some cases, lacking anything else even a hunch, a gut feeling, if based upon experience in discernment, may be all you have to go one, yet that is not the same as blind faith.
