Dear friends:
I'm having a computer problem I would like some advice/help on. Please be aware that this problem has been ongoing for several weeks, so please don't advise me to reboot or clear out the cache since I've done that several times and it makes no difference whatsoever. And please don't ask if my computer is plugged in or turned on. I don't understand why cruelly having fun at the expense of someone with an issue is so popular here.
Daily Motion is an excellent site for watching old movies and TV shows that YouTube won't allow. I used to go there regularly. It doesn't operate as smoothly as it used to (it's very hard to get a video to begin playing), but as long as you're patient it will play eventually.
This is not the problem I'm talking about. Here it is.
For some mysterious, inexplicable reason, I have been unable to load Daily Motion for weeks. All I get is either a completely white blank screen or else the header with "Daily Motion" at the top left of the screen but nothing else. Nothing else.
I have three browsers. It does this on all three of them. I thought perhaps it was because of my ad blocker, but it isn't. I get the same results whether the ad blocker is on or off. And this also is the same on all three browsers.
At this point it sounds like my ISP is blocking the site, but I called them and they said they do not block sites. So there is absolutely no logical explanation for this and I'm going nuts because I seem to be the only one in the world who is having this problem.
As I said, please don't suggest rebooting or clearing the cache or turning off the ad blocker. None of those things make any difference whatsoever.
I could understand having this problem with one browser. But all three??????
I've called the people who sold me the computer (and until a few weeks ago I didn't have this problem at all), and they said I'd have to leave the computer with them for a few days. That wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear, since the last time I put my computer in the shop it stayed there for four weeks and I wound up having to buy this one.
Finally, please be aware that I do not have this problem with any site other than Daily Motion, and the problem started only a few weeks ago. If it were the computer, the software, the flash, etc., the problem would probably not be limited to a single web site.
Can anyone help me???
Is it looking for Flash or some other player? If your browsers updated it may have rest the add ins.
Terry a few different browsers.
Chrome
Firefox
Brave
Ie
Edge
Opera
When I go to Daily Motion, they seem to be working OK, but there is no sound. Perhaps they are having some kind of server difficulty? Your problem sounds like a server that is loaded up beyond capacity, and can’t properly handle all the connections.

Linux? Windows? Solaris? VMS? Mac OS X? DR-DOS? DEC PDP-11?
Have you tried another computer on the same network? Even a smartphone via wifi?
If the site requires a Flash player - do you know if Flash is working with other sites?
Maybe you could try someone else's computer to see if the site has been closed.
When web sites go down, they sometimes give a warning, and sometimes not. If Daily Motion got hit with copyright strikes then they could be toast.
Other’s are having thiss problem. Here are some solutions:

Sounds like Flash issue.
What OS are you running? If the problem is across three different Browsers and appeared suddenly after working previously it could be that an update to your OS has caused the issue.
If we consider this a possibility then you can try reverting back to a previous iteration of the OS your using.
It could also be caused by an update to your Video Driver if your system has a stand alone video card.
Seems to be working for me on FireFox.
Do yo get this white screen after logging in on the website? If so this may be an issue with your account on the website itself. Try logging in from your phone if you can, or any other computer.
I found a solution on YouTube.
You might find a solution for your Daily Motion issue there.
It involved a low level change to a browser setting. I had three browsers exhibiting the same problem. They all had the same default setting wrong. They had different names for this setting, and the settings required navigating to different parts of their browser settings section. However, the YouTube video showed my how to go to all of the proper places on all of the browsers and get them all to work.
The setting I had to change was to deactivate Hardware Acceleration. This may be the setting you have to change, or it could be some other.
Dailymotion , one word ?
Yes could be a Video Driver issue , old and out of date
Sounds like a codec issue.
I was having trouble running Audacity, a very popular audio recording program. As it turned out, my 64-bit WDOs 7 computer had a 32-bit driver for its codec. Why, I could not tell you. It did not interfere with playing YouTubes, but some time in the last XXX Audacity released a newer software update and thing just would not load. But I uninstalled the old codec driver and reinstalled it and problem went away. (I wish I could use that last sentence more than I do)
Anyway, the idea that 3 different browsers all fail points to a common issue, which AFAIK (which ain’t that much) is the audio/video codec.

z/OS? Unisys Mapper? RCA SPECTRA?
If it's flash, why does it work on other sites?
I have no idea, but now A) I’m going to pay a visit for the first time, just to try out the site, and B) hope this helps:

I have three different browsers. It's the same on all three.
I thought I said that?
